Is it a Canadian holiday or something?

Having trouble getting a hold of my friends to the north.
Are they dodging my gay advances or on holiday.

It's Canada Day on Monday, so some people may also take tomorrow off for a 4 day weekend.

If you can't get in touch with them today, I'd say they're just lazy canucks.

pawsregd 06-29-2006 07:23 AM

Ya, it is a Holiday weekend here. July 1 is Canada Day. It does seem rather slow here today.

Basic_man 06-29-2006 07:30 AM

Nop, holiday is tomorrow for most people

Some people have the choice. We are taking the Friday instead of the Monday here.

Oh sure I realize that, but to say more people are off on the Friday instead of the Monday when a lot of people DON'T have a choice doesn't add up. Which is why I asked if perhaps things are different in Quebec.

Most people in the industry I suppose could be true though.

BlackCrayon 06-29-2006 07:42 AM

doesn't the states have this weekend as a holiday weekend too?

scottybuzz 06-29-2006 07:45 AM

Quebecers do want they want....lol. I actually don't know if Monday is our stat day here in Quebec but I would think most people would take both Friday and Monday off if they could.

Sexsitesurfer 06-29-2006 07:49 AM

I'm going to a Canada day celebration here in Bp tomorrow organised by the Canadian Ambassador and the Canadian chamber of commerce: read free food and beer. I won't be complaining.....

our Independance Day is on July 4th (Tuesday). Most people don't take the day off work for it though.

Odie 06-29-2006 08:41 AM

Us Canadians will take advantage of any holiday we get!!! There aren't too many days where we all take the day off work!! :)

What's with the third? Never been a mad patriot but I thought July 1st was Canada Day - being Saturday, you know, meaning that government employees take both Friday and Monday off, big companies give a choice, smaller companies don't, and adult webmasters... never take a day off, do they??

Shit, they gave me the wrong manual if that's the case.

Some government offices might be closed and some private businesses as well, but most people work through the day and celebrate in the evening with dinner and watching fireworks. There's not much going on during the daytime anyway except a few parades here and there.

It's not like Thanksgiving or Christmas.

madawgz 06-29-2006 12:34 PM

no holiday that i know of...

Thomas1007 06-29-2006 01:03 PM
