GammaCash caught shaving?

I promote their Pornication live cams, and everytime I make a sale I get an email annoucing it. I don't think I should be getting these emails because I've unchecked the option to receive an email when there's a traffic sale in their control panel. I think these emails are being sent from the old system (before GammaCash aquired Pornication) because the emails come from [email protected] and maybe they're not aware of these emails being sent. So today I get one of these emails saying I made a sale, I login to their stats and nothing shows there. This has happened two other times before.

What's up with this GammaCash? I don't mind being shaved, it's a fact of adult web life, but when I get a reminder email letting me know I just got shaved that's where I draw the line. :error

Hopefully just a glitch in their system, I hope a rep chimes in here to straighten things out. :pimp

xclusive 06-29-2006 06:07 AM

ouch that don't sound good

Doctor Dre 06-29-2006 06:08 AM

Could very well just be a glitch or something ... shit happens.

CIVMatt 06-29-2006 06:10 AM

Just like when shit happens and they email you saying your a cheating affiliate and you tell them to fucking prove it and they .... ahhh uhhhhh cant then suddenly dont know what you're talking about when you ask for an explination

David - PG 06-29-2006 06:20 AM

Did you talk to them before posting a potentially misleading thread with a title like that?

Just a suggestion: Member joins, void the transaction within a few hours...

This can happen at ccbill for example...

vidvicious 06-29-2006 06:24 AM

Gamma has been around for ages .. I doubt very much that they're shaving ..

Have you tryed contacting your sales rep there .. or was Posting on GFY was your first thought?

Teamaster 06-29-2006 06:25 AM

they shave in fact , they are one of the worst sponsors to promote

Jarmusch 06-29-2006 06:42 AM

I tried replying to one of these emails before but got no reply. Also someone made a thread on their board about this same thing some time back, but it never got a reply.

I made this thread here to see if this was happening to anyone else. :)

We were short drama this week, so going right to the boards made the most sense. Does this meet the proof standard? Guess he has to post the emails and a screen cap of his stats page. Show us your stats.

Lately, it has come to our attention that some people received emails from [email protected] regarding some sale made on Pornication. We are currently looking at the problem but everything seems to come from a glitch related to the old system used on pornication.net (before we brought Pornication into gammacash in the beginning of the year, which explain why the email comes from pornication admin and not the gammacash one).

In fact, this issue seems to be related to transactions that have been chargeback by surfers after being process. We are not sure why the ?made a sale? old template is still sent by the old admin, but we are looking at the problem at the moment we speak. Be sure that we will keep you inform when we?ll get more details.

Gamma has been in the industry since 1996 and people around can testify that we always distinguish ourselves by our ethics toward our affiliates as well as our support. We take great care in tracking every single surfer so that our affiliate received the maximum income and we don?t see the long term benefit in cheating our affiliates by shaving. Therefore in the future, don?t hesitate to hit me on my icq if you encounter any problem or have any questions regarding our program. I will be more than pleased to help you get the answer quickly.

Just for the sake of conversation. There is a difference between asking that question and making the claim.

The whole shaving issue is so worn out. Guess it doesn't make it any less important. With all the new potential webmasters on the board. A claim like this can cause damage to a company still.

This seems like more than possible... For being in the industry for so long, I can say that I never had any problem with Gamma. It is true their support is reat and sales/ratios are pretty much the same as any other program...

I would believe Gamma on that one without any hesitation...

Mr.Donkey 06-29-2006 07:01 AM

by the way, Jarmusch, try to hit a rep first to get straight answers... I don't think that you are helping anyone here by claiming "not so strong" evidence of fraud... Posting this kind of thing seems to be a national sports on boards these days

Hi Nancy,

This gives rise to the BIG question: Are there any other parts of your software that you are not sure of? Sales stats for example.

Not an affiliate of your program, but that kinda statement may make me hesitate to join.

I know shit happens, still the glitch does raise question.

and you wonder why I love her so much.

Gamma sets the standard for everyone else - but mostly for integrity. I do appreciate what your saying about your stats but check with them first before walking into an open forum and making claims without any additional proof. Webmasters will always stand behind Gamma before a rash statement anyday, and this is no different.

It is a national sport for sure. Keeps sponsors on their toes I guess. When I was a noob (call me that still if you want) I posted a question about shaving once. That was several years ago and I'm still getting checks every month from that sponsor. YNOTBob pointed out the problem with a post and how much better an email was. Of course he was right.

My contribution to the drama of the day. GammaCash does have an excellent reputation. Parsing peoples posts is just plain the GFY way!

jigg 06-29-2006 07:19 AM

pussyluver has a point - if there's this bug and they haven't fixed it what else could be there that hasn't been exposed and nobody knows about, even Gamma themselves!

Must suck to login with your fake account so you grow the balls to post junk like that

By the way, I didn't want to seem rude with you Jarmusch, but believe me, since all programs have their own system and (even sometime) different way of tracking and reporting sales, boards are not a productive way of get straight answers

martinsc 06-29-2006 07:20 AM

so no drama????

Pussyluver,

I understand your hesitation, but I can assure you that our systems are safe and trustable. We took back Pornication.net on GammaCash in the beginning of the year, this was a big chunk, but belive me we took all the time we needed to put all the pieces together to make it a great product!!! Over the last 4 months, sales of our affiliates skyrocketed and we received lots of congradulation from them. I don't say that we are perfect (hey, nobody is :winkwink: ) but we work hard to offer the best product around.

This beeing said, this email thing seems to be a little glitch related to our surfers admin system, nothing realted with the stats and the payout (which are the core of our system)

Yea, or you can be like DG and tell you they cheated, and claim they dont have to back it up because you "know what you did".

Robert,

I really appreciate this. Been doing business with you for a long time and you became a good friend throughout the years.

Thanks Bro :thumbsup

blazi 06-29-2006 07:38 AM

I have to disagree with you Jarmusch, shaving shouldn't just be accepted as "part of the industry", that is fraud and wrong in every way. We as webmasters work our asses off to promote these sponsors and people who shave should be skinned then shot. I have to say though I've never had any bad experience with Gammacash, and anytime I needed support they are always prompt, so hopefully you get the issue resolved quickly!!

mOrrI 06-29-2006 07:42 AM

Hope it's a good shaving...

Ok thanks for clearing things out Nancy. I just thought this was a bit strange considering I get these emails EVERY TIME I make a sale, and they're correct 98% of the time. So in my case it's not just one or two emails when I make a random sale or when a surfer chargeback. Anyway I hope you can track down what's causing this. :)

And guys give me a break, I made this thread more like a rant cause it's annoying to get emails saying you made a sale that lift your spirit up only to find out it didn't happen at all. It's especially annoying when you opt-out of receiving such emails. :)

At least I didn't make a thread in an accusatory tone, full of swearing and name calling and angry smillies like usually happens on shaving threads around here. :2 cents:

Hey Jarmusch,

I 'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

Please contact me and give me your username, I will look at it up close.

Nancy is an awesome rep to work with. She's always gone above and beyond to get me the tools that I've needed. On top of that, I have to say that Gamma is a solid company. They've been around for a long time becuase they truly know how to convert traffic AND treat their affiliates. Two thumbs up from me, guys!
