some of the best stuff out of the US is coming from Chicago. stem cell is promising for many. for lupus, there's still a long way to go. not to mention cost.

My wife's brother died from Lupus about 11 years ago. The first time I met him was about three months before he died; He was in a hospital bed. Not knowing what to say to someone is watching themselves rot away I asked "How are you today". His reply stunned me: "I lost my right foot the day before last, my other foot yesterday, and today I haven't lost anything so I guess I'm having a good day".

What a horrible way to die. For a year of his life he lost one limb at a time until he passed on.
