Newbie tip: Don't sign up for every sponsor.
That's what I said. Don't sign up for every sponsor that catches your eye. Scattering your meager traffic among a large number of sponsors generally results in either no sales or failure to meet the minimum payout for a sponsor.
Pick 3-4 CAREFULLY based on your personal tastes (it's easier to sell what you like). Pick sponsors like TrafficCashGold which have sites in a variety of niches; some TGP's (and presumably linklists) allow you to submit only one gallery per day, but some will allow you to submit several galleries in a day provided they are not in the same niche. Once you're making at least one sale a day at each sponsor (or if you find that one is converting very poorly) add another sponsor. Concentrate on the niches that convert well for you, of course. Repeat until wealthy. Exception: If you REALLY like a particular niche, choose ONE sponsor that specializes in that niche; then choose two or three more sponsors with a variety of sites. |
wise words and it saves time in checking stats

Very wise... niche it, stay focused, and push what sales.

Good advice!
|
that's true.

Discover what works, and stick with it.
:thumbsup |
Oh no you don't. I got where I am today by following every step of Kak_Azn's E-Book entitled "How to move out of Mom's basement in five years or less" I'm not about to change now. Your advice goes against many of his basic guidelines :2 cents:

I would totally disagree with you on this, good luck to all.

Yeah, I did that mistake when I was starting in this business....
Good advice indeed... And TCG rocks!! :) |
Yes, but not too few either. Spread the risk and optimize it :)
|
Yes and having a few different sponsors evens out the income a bit too, when one sponsor is having a bad week then another will be converting well.

Exactly why I only send traffic to very few sponsors. There's bargaining power in keeping volume sales with a select few.

real good advice... thanks

I beg to differ, by trying many sponsors when I first started I found out for myself what worked with my traffic, if I had not signed up for so many I would have made alot less money because rarely are you going to get the sponsor to match your traffic on the first few tries.
|
great advice for sure
|
good tips :thumbsup

I started out with one, then moved to another when that one didn't convert, then another. Since I didn't have much traffic at the time, I just moved it around till I found one that paid. To me that was much better than spreading out thin traffic.
I suppose if you're starting out with lots of traffic spreading it out and keeping a close eye on it you might shorten your search for the right niche/sponsor. I still say you're better off focusing on one/two at a time starting out though. |
