Can I get google to spider my site today?

Rookie experimenting with SEO, with some non competitive words (where even an rookie have a chance) for one of my free sites. Last time Google spidered the site was 5 days ago and I had "revisit-after=20 days" meta tag. I don't want to wait 15 days for Google to come back, any way I can make it to revisit the site sooner? :Oh crap

By the way, feel free to drop some tips/links if you know any about seo. Would appreciate it!

No promises but Google spiders my forum 2 times a day.

Put a (relevant) post in and link your url in your sig.

Once googlebot knows you update often (several times daily) you will get spidered more often

Make sure that the site has a link from another that is already indexed.

google doesnt comply with the revisit-after meta tag. to get spidered today, get someone with a high PR page to add your link.

I just found this on one SEO forum:

Q: When does Google update?

A: Google has a standard monthly update which generally occurs at the end of every month. The data for this update is gathered during the preceding weeks. Google has been known to delay updates (or process them sooner than expected) when the mood strikes. Chances are delays are due to new algorithms being implemented and tested.

Get a link to your site from say drudgereport.com and fairly sure you'll have your googlebot visit very soon.

So find away to get in the news. Most major news outlets will work.
