How do I get this chrome effect on photoshop..help

Ok, I've got an image, and Im trying to get this chrome effect on it but I just can't, I end up with too much grey. Does anyone have a good tutorial on how to get this exact effect, not the usual chrome effect, I want THIS one..lol, Thanks

This is the effect I'm aiming for.

You need a filter. I recommend Alien Skin's Eye Candy.

It's easy: Layer > Layer Style > Bevel & Emboss > (modify the Depth & Size) then play with the "Gloss Contour"

Try that and lmk...Enjoy! :thumbsup

NOTE: If you're getting too much grey try Leveling the image AFTER applying the chrome effect. Crush the darks and enhance the contrast with that tool: "Levels".

P.S.: Sure you can go out and get a plugin but it's not really necessary. Like most things with Photoshop, if you REALLY learn the software, it comes capable of doing almost anything right out of the box.

To get a cool Chrome effect it's all about the "curves" in Photoshop. You sure don't need any 3rd party plugins unless you just don't know PS.

To make it as editable as possible, use a curves adustment layer over your object layer and just mess with the curve.
