I'm thinking about buying this helicoptor.

This is pretty fucking cool... except the no wind conditions.

i have one.. ( kid at heart here ) its pettty cool actually . flies around a room pretty accurately, but the blades are very very fragile and i broke it within 2 days..

look up goolge for this thing called the dragonflayer , it is the best thing on the market i think... 4 blades , much more stable and versatile. and built in camera option

i used to be really into RC. learning to fly these mini copters is pretty challenging and the learning curve is expensive. haven't had one for years.

when i saw the price i wanted to buy one.

then saw this. must be a viral product in rc world now.

My and a friend went through a couple of those at his house. We could get them to lift off, hover, and spin easily enough...but didn't have much luck with lateral movement. It seemed the little propeller on the back just couldn't counteract the gyroscopic movement of the main blades. But it was fun nonetheless. They're built to take crashes real well..but we still managed to kill both of them in his living room.

they have em at wal-mart ( not that i shop there but i saw them as i passed by :winkwink: i think they have em fr 59.99

but i highly suggest going for the dragonflayer its a much better item.. the one mentioned above is very fragile and the battery pack only lasts a few mins

I'm not an expert, but my understanding is that's an 'experimental' craft...with low power, and you'll be able to pilot it under the new Sport Pilot license which requires much less time, effort, and resources than a normal Pilot's license to obtain.

These are called autogyro's, by the way. The top rotor isn't powered, and turns due to autorotation from forward movement (provided by the rear propeller.)
