I was getting billed 6 months after cancelling and cancelling and cancelling again

And no one has done anything to stop them.

Every single person who had a hard time cancelling should have called the FTC I think.

I got a bill for like $6800 or so from them for a account I cancelled like 9years ago.... and people talk about our industry billing methods...:1orglaugh :1orglaugh

My wife had an account with them that she called and cancelled over 6 months ago. They ended up billing MY card because she used it once to pay her bill and then I had to call to cancel it. They gave me all kinds of runaround and bullshit for several months and never actually cancelled it. Got a letter yesterday saying that I owed them $101 and DEMANDING that I pay it. Then I got a call last night saying that I needed to pay the $101 or they would turn it over to their collection dept. FUCK AOL! Told them that after all the BS they put me though that THEY needed to pay ME! Still no idea if they are going to actually cancel it or not.

I thought AOL were fined millions for over billing a few years back?

I had the same issue with AOL... according to them I still owe them over $100.

The bad part is they called me in January and said something about me oweing them. I told them I had cancelled in August and her response was. Well it says that your last login date was August 18... Of course I was on in August BEFORE I canceled. I gave up and hung up. That phone call was 2 years ago.

Cricket cell does the same shit... randomly sends me a bill and I havent had service with them in a few years.

Who still uses AOL anyway?
