LA this weekend - Good clubs?
 

Thinking Hollywood and beverly hills area. I come from an area with no movie stars or anything like that so is it hard to get into that scene? Can flash big cash for one weekend to make it fun. i guess.

I don't really know, but I read a lot of gossip sites and from what I heard all the celebs go to Hyde, LAX, Mood, The Tropicana Bar inside the Roosevelt Hotel.

I always see tabloid pics of Paris Hilton and tons of other celebs like Justin Timberlake going there. I have no idea about getting in.

For example, that club has 10 reviews, you can read what people say about getting in. Btw, Nicole Richie's on and off again boyfriend DJ AM dj's there.

And then read about more clubs on Sunset, and Hollywood.

Or some others I drove by is the Standard Hotel. I heard some celebs go there too.

Awesome seems i could just get a room at the Roosevelt. Sort of hard to turn away guests I would think. Carry lots of cash is the other trick I use.

The Roosevelt bar closed due to a bunch on underage drinking. (Lindsay Lohan) But the hotel itself is awesome, Johnny Depp always stays there when he comes here. You should try LAX, eat dinner at the Geisha House or The Ivy on Robertson, great artichoke salad! You should try Citizen Smith on Cahuenga it's a fun place and great decor. I hope you have a great time here.

That sucks! back to ssquare one. I was thinking Beverly Wilshire as backup hotel. Pretty woman always gets womens panties in a twist. Star searching at the polo lounge for brunch on Sat or Sun.

That sounds fun. The Beverly is right across the street from Rodeo so that's always fun shopping that she will enjoy. Most of all the fun clubs/bars are in Hollywood so make sure you take a taxi, don't drink and drive the cops are animals here.

Downtown Standard's roof top bar really is amazing. Great suggestion! I've always seen Cinespace but have yet to try it out, i've always heard good things. Where is Safari Sam's? I am not aware of that bar.

This is why i love GFY. I even do some business on here now and then but you can always find a hot spot in any city.

Before I book the hotel is their a better spot to stay?

The Mondrian is an absolutely fabulous hotel. It is the home of Skybar which is amazing. I would also suggest The Standard, it's hip and fun. There is also Chateau Marmont which is really cool with a rooftop pool too.

I love the Abbey in West Hollywood, lots of hot straight girls and celebs there!

The Abbey is my second home! We should meet sometime Holly since you're in the hood. :) Great martinis and beautiful people what more can you want?

Is it hard for non-celebs to get inside the Standard Hotel or LAX? What about Brent Bolthouse parties that are A-list and inteded for mainly celebs only?

I am actually thinking of moving to LA/Hollywood to be on the scene and to pursue my acting/singing career. I want to be come rich and famous :1orglaugh

I heard Hyde, is the hot spot now, all the papparazi/tabloid pics are taken there now. I always the Hilton sisters, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Alba and tons of others celebs getting their pics taken there!

Sunset Boulevard is really amazing and glamorous, it's lined up with clubs and celebs. Everyone on Sunset drives a Mercedes, it's awesome. All the celebs go clubbing there.... Last time I was there it was during the mtv movie/music awards, but I didn't know it at the time, we drove by a huge party at the Chateau Marmont, maybe even Lindsay Lohan and Paris was there! Chateau Marmont is star studded, I really would wanna go there...

The celeb I really wanna meet is Paris. She's in London right now tho promoting her album and too busy partying with James Blunt and Petra Nemcova. Paris goes to Hyde a lot ...

This thread made me miss LA. I love celebs and glamorous Hollywood celebrity nightlife. It's so glamorous! I only drove by Sunset like a few times and now I wanna move up there... I want to be one of those scene people who parties every night with the stars :helpme

You are correct Lindsay does live at The Chateau. Standard really isn't that hard to get into if you are hot and have some cash to throw down. But you are right on LAX horrific to get in.

When you come to L.A. you honestly won't party that much on Sunset. It's a bunch of old clubs. All the new clubs are blowing up left and right in WEHO or Hollywood. Sunset has Beige which is great for dinner and pre-drinking awesome outside!

Where are you living now?

I live in the OC. LA is still super far for me though, the drive is pretty far, the freeway is so dark at night you can't see anything... And the drive is so long, it seems like it never ends...

I'm moving to Hollywood withing a year or so, so I can become rich and famous :thumbsup

I only drove by there a few times and I already love the scene, it's much more glamorous and exciting than OC. I hate suburban life. I like the big city, tall buildings, I actually like the noise and traffic, it makes it seem really vibrant and alive.

And of course I like the LA scene. I always hear people hate LA because it's soulless and very pretentious and in Hollywood it's all about what you wear and drive, but I don't mind because I actually like that vibe. I feel like LA is really where I need to be.

I think the local coke dealer's house in the hills after hours is a pretty big hotspot.

just to clear up some items...

the Tropicana Bar at the Roosevelt reopened recently. The promoters 'the Alliance' who are the best along with Brent Bolthouse are running it now.

and Hyde is basically impossible to get into on thurs/fri/sat nites if you are not on the list, no matter how much cash you drop at the door. the guest list for Hyde is run by Brent Bolthouse and its very extremely tight on those nites.

Looks like we are heading out to Cabana Club in a couple of hours, if anybody wants to meet us there, we will be there. You have to try to get in on your own though, I don't really know anybody there, but if anybody wants to hang with Slapass and myself, well be there...

We never made it as they had us set up at White lotus? how bad is that I do not know the club. Off the hook and he set us up VIP all the way. Latin porn must convert like crazy!!!

I had a great time, I didn't even to expect to run into the group that was having a party that night, but it turned out great, Todd you are very fun to hang with and if I ever come to your neck of the woods, we will have to go out and do the same thing... See you in Las Vegas...
