I've finally moved away from online gaming and want to get a 360... what games can you suggest?

I think I might get some sports games, as I tend to enjoy them a lot.

And by the way, what do you know about prepping the 360 for usenet games? Do I just need to flash the DVD drive?

I regularly play Battlefield 2: Modern Combat & Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter on Xbox Live. I've also got Perfect Dark Zero, Full Auto, The Outfit, Hitman: Blood Money & Condemned: Criminal Origins. And tomorrow, when it shows up at Gamestop, I'm picking up Over G Fighters (online capable combat flight game). Xbox Live is pretty fucking fun. And I don't know anything about pirating games. I have enough money I can buy all the games I want. =) I think the developers deserve my money.

It's more of the same, but some of the things you can, like stage accidents to kill people, is pretty cool. I'm looking forward to Gears of War and Chromehounds. And the zombie game, Dead Rising looks pretty fun too.

Oh I agree. I just want to test-play the games before I pay for them. Believe me or not, but that is how I do it. :thumbsup

I hated Halo 2. Too damn short and had the WORST ending ever.

I belive in November MS is going to drop the price of the 360 by $100 when PS3 comes out.

the game halo2 is some what boring.

xbl matchmaking / custom games is where its at.

I stick to the sports game mostly aswell.

On the 360, i've liked : NBA 2K6, Madden NFL 2006, and Fifa World Cup.

The game Table Tennis actually turned out to be a laugh aswell... :1orglaugh

Yeah, Fifa looks like dope... maybe NBA, too. Last sports game I played on a console was NFL 94 on my Super NES. SHit, was that fun.

go for call of duty 2, elder scrolls, and nba 2k6 on the 360...fight night 3 is also good

There are not that many good games. Fortunately the ones that matter from xbox are fully back compatable - GTA San Andreas and Halo2! As for new games Tomb Raider is good. Hitman is great but both are way to short. Finished them in a weekend. But some replayability to them. Oblivion will suck you in for a solid month, its the best title for the 360 hands down. Battlefield is ok, but no planes and flying the choppers is harder than it needs to be.

Overall I'm more stoked than ever for ps3, but we do have saints row, and gears of war coming out soon for 360 and ofcourse there's always GTA which may be exclusive to 360 (deal in the works) and ofuckcourse HALO 3!!! But both of those won't be out for at least a year :(

It's already $100-$200 cheaper than I heard the PS3 is going to be.

No it's not. To get the XBOX 360 with the 20 GB HDD you pay $400. To get the wi-fi( which comes with the PS3 ) that's $100. If you want the HD-DVD that's extra. They haven't put a price on it, but I assume it's going to be at least $200 sicne you can't touch a regualr HD-DVD player for under $500.

OK so $400+$100+$200=$700 or $100 more than the most expensive PS3 and that comes with a 60GB HDD. And it also has HDMI which XBOX 360 does not.

Not many new games are. For example NFL HEAD coach is not backwards compatable. Inf fact many games aren't. Kind of shitty to buy an XBOX 360 because you have a huge collection of XBOX game and you can't play half of them.

Um sales are good because the PS3 isn't out yet. And when it does your sales are going to drop like a rock if you don't lower the price.

They are promising they will be offering patches soon for them. So eventually all games will be fully bc. But you're right atm its bs that they are aren't. This is yet another example of how much better play station is at the console game.

why not download the demos of the new games and current games off of xbox live like everyone else who isnt stealing the games?
