GFY tool: Show your ICQ status in your sig
 

You can see it working in my sig.

To use it, simply:

1. Cut and paste the code
2. Replace the space in [ IMG] with nothing. so it starts [IM...
3. Replace ICQNUMBER with your ICQ number

P.S. If any of the admin's are around, do you like the tool or not? If you do like the tool, any chance you could add instructions for how to use it to GFY somewhere?

not so new................and can be a pain in the ass on a busy board lol

The reason i made the tool is because, as you'd know if you tried, ICQ give you a dynamic URL which ends in a number, and if you put this inside IMG bbcode, then instead of the image being displayed, a link to the URL is displayed. The solution to this seems to be that you can only use URLs that end in a valid image extension (e.g. .gif, .jpg, .png etc.) inside an IMG tag and have it show correctly as an image, hence the reason for making the tool.

Looks like someone needs help with their ICQ code. :1orglaugh

and now the asshole has you all running a script on his webserver. he could easily change what image it shows at any moment.

why not release the code for free and let people host it themselfs?

Yes, people should run it on their own servers. If his server goes down, the board is going to be forever trying to load a broken image and red x's will dominate sigs :) hehe
