The stupidity of the American people will never cease to amaze me.

BoyAlley 06-26-2006 07:23 PM

All I have to say is that I sure as fuck hope so.

If the American people are still so damn stupid and/or brainwashed that they let Republicans keep control of either the house or the senate, I'm going to be ready to move to a different country.

The direction this country is headed certainly isn't the right one, and that's putting it VERY mildly. :Oh crap

crockett 06-26-2006 07:24 PM

Dude the sad part is the Dem's will still fuck it up and lose again.

pussyluver 06-26-2006 07:24 PM

Never a sure thing. Plus it's a long time to election day! Like they say all elections are local...... Move to Polk County and vote that ass hat out of office!!!

Elle Sommers 06-26-2006 07:25 PM

Hilary Clinton.

Funny thing is the republicans are all gushing over McCain and in 2000 they basically told him to go fuck off he wasn't a "real" republican. Now they want him to run because they know that's the ONLY GOP candidate that can win in 2008. President Frist? Um no.

I know, I was actually joking.

I'm supporting Mark Warner for President, Democratic Governor. I think he'd do a great job.

According to the trading exchange TradeBetX.com the Republicans are heavily favored to retain control of the Senate and slight favs to retain the House. A month ago, The Dems were slight favorites to retake the House. BTW, in the 2004 elections, the bettors correctly called the results of all 50 states on election day.

He won Florida. Great thing is that bitch Harris is going to get the Republican nod for the Senate race despite the GOPs BEGGING her not to run. Even Jeb Bush asked her to quit and said publicly that she can't win. She's WAY behind in polls and many republicans are backing her democratic opponent in Nov. She will go down in a great defeat and I will enjoy every minute of it. As bonus in order to run she's NOT running for re-election for her house seat so she'll be out of politics. karmas a bitch.

Divided govenment works best. It's not a coincidence the budget was balanced when Clinton was in office and the republicans controlled congress slightly. See that forced BOTH sides to work together and took the extremists on both sides out of the picture.

marketsmart 06-26-2006 07:37 PM

i think the democrats are trying to decide if the US is ready for a woman president... its a big gamble... the time is right for a democrat to get elected, but maybe not if its a woman...

i would love to see bill back in the white house as the first lady, but i also think he has gotten a little too close to daddy bush over the last few years... :2 cents:

scotty2hotty1111 06-26-2006 07:39 PM

the other bush is next . i think right now he is the governer of flordia. we are in trouble

czarina 06-26-2006 07:53 PM

Hillary has a shot. but I hope that she does not get it.

Evil Chris 06-26-2006 08:31 PM

Hillary Clinton? Why oh why...

First it's father/son.
Next it's husband/wife?

Is the US government now a television show?

mardigras 06-26-2006 09:30 PM

Of the Democrats who have said they are interested in the nomination I so far like Joe Biden best.

I think the Republicans will keep control with button pushing issues leading up to the election...

I've already expressed my opinion on paperless voting machines here many times.:upsidedow

She has as much a chance as I do . . . . actually, I would have a better chance.

People are stupid, if the republicans can do something people like (I have no idea what..capture osama or something) right before the elections they'll win.

All the Republicans have to do is convince the Democrats nominate Hillary, then they could run Osama against her and still win,

spunkmaster 06-26-2006 10:38 PM

There's only one Dem that can win in 2008 and that's Evan Bayh (D) Indiana.

He was a Govenor for two terms and then Senator for two terms.

Most of the rest of the feild are too far wacked to the left for the red states
where Bayh has a good chance if he can get the nomination which I doubt he can ?

He won't run in 2008. He knows he'll lose. America is tired of Bush's in the White House. We don't want a kingdom.

other than McCain which republican can win?

czarina 06-27-2006 03:31 PM

I have no doubts that the next one will be a democrat.

bdld 06-27-2006 03:51 PM

i'd be alright with another republican president, as long as the dems take the house and the senate.

By 2008 the dems can re-take the House. The Senate probally not. the only republican right now I can deal with is McCain. he SHOULD have been the GOP nominee in 200. There would not have been any voting controversy. He would gotten way more electoral votes than Gore and more votes overall. Bush will never escape the fact that a sizable % of the people don't beleive he won his first election.

MaddCaz 06-27-2006 04:04 PM

the dems man...I dunno...

But he's not a Republican. If he is, he's got a funny way of showing it.
In any case he don't have a prayer of winning.

Um If he's the GOP nominee he has a great chance. Most republicans will vote for him and he is popular with independant and some democrats. if Hillary is the dem nominee many center/right leaning dems wil vote for McCain.

Dvae 06-27-2006 04:23 PM

Not likely to happen.
The religious right and a large part of conservatives won't vote for him.
He burned that bridge a long time ago.

He is however the best candidate the Dems could run. If you have ever noticed he can do no wrong in their eyes eventhough theres an R in front of his name, they can't wait to vote for him.

I have never liked nor trusted Bush. I did not vote for him when he ran for governor in Texas.

We would have been better off with McCain than with Bush. Depending on the Democratic nominee, I would consider voting for him.

If Gore had NOT tried to disassociate himself from Clinton he would have won. If the next Republican candidate DOES disassociate from Bush they could win.

Prior to being Clintons running mate Gore was a bible thumper[Well Ok he was right leaning]. Anyone remember Tipper Gore and her attempt at censoring rock music. They were anti-abortion and along comes Clinton and he does a 360 on his beliefs.
Will the real Al Gore please stand UP

Democrats are the same as Republicans. There is no difference.
