auto blogger pro=duplicate content penatly?

I've been thinking about trying this out on a few domains, but how can this not trigger any duplicate content penalties??

fuzzylogic 06-26-2006 05:21 PM

i dont believe penalties are currently assigned to dup content sites

This is why we have the Rewriter setup. Rewrite your content and avoid any penalty that *might* come at you.

I personally don't think the duplicate content rule is as strict as some make it out to be...I have been doing se shit for years, and have had mutiple pages up with the exact same content on them, and never been penalized or seen a drop in rankings

with that said, it is ALWAYS better to have original content...and the re-writer part of autoblogger is a very nice feature to assure that happening

whats the re-writer?

is it like it takes someone elses blog and changes some words.

Beejeebers 06-26-2006 06:42 PM

A re-writer will take someone elses content and replace a couple words or phrases so it looks like original content. The main problem is the very feeds that you're using are being re-written and affiliate url's replaced which is theft. But I guess if everyone does it, it must be ok... :(

just because you use re-writter doesnt mean you are changing aff links. i personally believe that if i am getting content from another person, i owe them their affilate links. its only fair.. most people use abp in a professional manner. no matter what, you will always have people that use software/apps in a way they were not intended for... i spoke to chio for many hours before i bought abp. he walked me through the re-writter in great detail and never once did he mention using it to change affiliate links... :2 cents:

Indeed duplicate content ban exists out there but its not neccessary that ABP will get you banned

It's fine. Just don't pull the full article. Go excerpt like this

I've had ABP demo sites running nearly a year now, each has pr 3-5 one or two sixes. Traffic and indexing grows each month. There are no dupe content problems with ABP.

Google's is looking for one site that has tons of duplicate content within that one site.

Look at it this way... Google news is duplicate content, it's completely built using RSS. No real content from google at all.

If you have any questions pop me a message on ICQ (in location) and I can show you some demo sites, stats, etc.

Thanks
