HELP! Getting totally rid of Norton???
Ok I've tried it all - it won't come off - it keeps coming back and causing problems for me. What do I have to do to get rid of it?
The only thing left in Add/Remove is the LiveUpdate which gives me an error when I try to remove it. |
Try one of their remove tools on their website. Make sure to get the correct one that works for what ever version you had/have installed. You can also go through the registry manually, searching for *Symantec* and *Norton* and removing the keys etc that pop up with them.

Bless you en1 :) following that link there was a page with the manual way to do it and it worked - Excel no longer takes 5 minutes to open up each worksheet! YAY! Now lets see if it solved my damn hungapp problem after 6 open pages! Thanks |
Do you by chance know how to remove the Windows Security Alert icon on the taskbar? LMAO

If you are reffering to the Windows Firewall, you can disable that in control panel by turning it to off. I think its called Firewall. |
