Damn you Level3, Major Internet Fuck Up
 

Level3 pushed a new BGP script that screwed up a good portion of the internet about an hour and a half ago. They lost alot of peering and screwed up alot of other bandwith providers. They majorly screwed shit up, more details to come :mad:

hmmm, I was told it was an issue between them and cogent. Are you sure it was a script?

yes i got off the phone with my reps over there, they pushed a bad bgp script out and it messed up everything. Took alot of stuff down

That's the way to go, push bad routing scripts to the internetq

Jusdt got off phone with my tech (again) . . . guess it was a little more widespread than he first thought.

Ouch, it hurts everybody when such a thing happens.
