KILLJOY tennis chiefs have outlawed skimpy outfits at this year?s Wimbledon, which starts today.

They want spectators to keep their eye on the ball, not on the athletic figures of the gorgeous female players.

So they have issued a strict new dress code banning gear deemed too sexy or low-cut.

That means a bevy of babes must cover up. What a glaring fault ? especially when you check the form of stars like former champ Maria Sharapova.

Another Russian, world No 8 Elena Dementieva, shouldn?t be playing under cover, nor should fashion-conscious compatriot Maria Kirilenko, who will be wearing Stella McCartney gear.

Then there?s Daniela Hantuchova. Once nicknamed the Slovakian Skeleton, she?s looking ace now.

Wimbledon wouldn't be Wimbledon without one stick in the mud comment every other day of the event. Yet, that is why people like it.

I heard this is because they were upset with what Serena Williams wore the catsuit outfit and was told it was too revealing.....

No player is bigger than Wimbledon. That is what they will be told. Wimbledon is a very prim and proper tennis club. They also aren't going to care about ratings. If they suddenly became like every other tournement it wouldn't be as special and that is when people would stop going to it.

Oh well, we still have women's beach volleyball....

Good for Wimbledon. Some of the crap they wear is ridiculous, anyway. They should worry more about their game and not what kind of advertising deal(s) they can score. They're there to play tennis, not deliver a strippergram.

I think the girls can probably get away with wearing something like that. It is the traditional tennis skirt and the top isn't a halter/tank so I think it would be fine. I think it is just the really revealing ones that they want to get rid of like the shebeast cat suit.
