tried it... but that shit makes my face sooooooooooooooooooo dry that i had to stop using it... my skin would literally crack and bleed.

I knew someone who ordered the stuff and tried it a while. Didn't do a thing for them (other than lighten their wallet). They used it for 3-4 months and then tossed it in the garbage.

They said it was 98% marketing hype...and 2% results.

I use it and LOVE IT.

My girlfriend used it for awhile, wasnt good. She went to a dermotologiest and got some perscription stuff that worked like magic!

I had clear skin all through high school, and didn't even bother washing my face with "good" facewash. A year after I graduated (conveniently enough, right after I started birth control) I started breaking out.. bad. I had no clue what to do, and bought a bunch of shit and went to the dermatologist and he gave me a bunch of other shit. I tried it for a few months, and NOTHING helped. I ordered Proactiv and within 3 weeks my skin had started to clear up. I've used it for 9 months or so now, and haven't had a breakout since.

Yes, it works. You can get the generic stuff at Walgreens for half the price.

my wife uses it and it works really really well

although, with any skin ointments, your body will build a tolerance to to it after a while, so don't use it all the time or switch between 2-3 products at all times

my hub swears by it. I find it dries out my face, but some of it works good when used for specific purposes. Overall a neutrogena clear bar works best for me, the simpler the better.

if you have pimples anywhere on your body, then pee on a rag and wipe it on your pimples a few times a day, and they'll be gone in 4 days.

I swear it works, I had some big pimples on my back and they hurt, and I did the piss wipe thing and in 4 days there were only a few blackheads left.

I saw it on Maury Povich show. Dont know why it works, maybe the acid or whatever in your urine dries up the pimples, but it worked beautifully.

There's benzoyl peroxide in it, so it should work well for a decent amount of people. You can get something equally effective for a tenth of the price though.

just get 5% benzoyl peroxide for about $5 a Walmart and it will actually work better

Its not just about having benzoyl peroxide in a product... lots of products have 10% benzoyl peroxide. The thing about Proactiv is the cleanser gets deep in your pores to get rid of dirt and oil, the astringent (which normally has benzoyl peroxide) is to help HEAL your skin, and the lotion (which has the benzoyl peroxide.. not the astringent) is what prevents and helps cure breakouts. I use the refining mask too, helps keep my skin looking really healthy and heal old breakouts.

my sis swears by the following:
dont touch ur face, drink a ton of water, eat healthier, keep your face clean with something including benzoyl peroxide.
her face cleared up real quick.
proactive seems to be too expensive and do irreversable damage, as in your skin gets used to it, and the texture is never the same, like it dries it out to a point of no return, not worth it.

It works in a few days and its free.
But if you want to wait months going to doctors and trying different expensive creams then knock yourself out.

It works because it ph balances your skin, some fashion models do this apparently, thats where I heard about it, my daughter was taught this in modeling school although she was scared to try it
