I put some laminate flooring down today. great project (Pics)

what do you think? I have to put the trim at the doors in still and the quarter round on the the baseboards. I think it looks pretty good.

my mom and dad just had that same shit put in...if they hadn't said it was laminate, I would have never known without getting down and touching it

BoyAlley 06-25-2006 01:04 PM

Very nice! We did our living room with the laminate ourselves and it was a BITCH to do.

Lonny 06-25-2006 01:07 PM

looks great. I miss wood floors. all you need is a Swiffer sweep vac for cleaning and your set.

Tdog 06-25-2006 01:09 PM

Looks great, I could never do something like that. I would have to hire that out.

pr0 06-25-2006 01:11 PM

Looks nice. When we finish our new house, the secdond floor will have tiles, but we think that we will go with stamped concrete for the first floor. except for the kitchen, I might do something like what you did.

DutchTeenCash 06-25-2006 02:01 PM

nice did that 3 times hell of a job but its lookin great thumbsup

what exactly are you nailing? laminate floor also called a floating floor does not get nailed down.

Fucksakes 06-25-2006 02:07 PM

ok I maybe wrong about.. laminate = floating, I put the same thing in my house and no nailing was done. but brother does this for a living.

JimmiDean 06-25-2006 02:11 PM

Nice job I just installed 1300 feet of it including a stair case.
real simple to instal except for the stairs.

ready lube 06-25-2006 02:17 PM

yeah thats what i thought. i know you need a hammer nailer thing for real 3/4" hardwood but not the other stuff

Mike_AWP 06-25-2006 02:35 PM

very nice.. btw cute doggy..:)

Peaches 06-25-2006 02:38 PM

Very nice! I have pine floors all through my house (even in the closets and bathrooms for some reason) and the dogs just destroy them. The laminate holds up SO much better.

LiveDose 06-25-2006 02:48 PM

Nice work man.

stickyfingerz 06-25-2006 02:48 PM

Nice job Tanker. Looks great. Did Ellisa pitch in and help too, or just watch? :winkwink:

Kiwigirl 06-25-2006 02:56 PM

Nice job Tanker! :)

Kristian 06-25-2006 03:00 PM

You've done a great job. I know from painful experience how hard it is getting it looking so good.

You got a job to burn that stuff let alone scratching it, though water destroys it pretty quick :Oh crap

The dog is cool! The brown vs. white ear suggests that he gonna have another try to put on some scratches on the floor :-) LOL

Tanker 06-25-2006 04:06 PM

my dogs dont scratch it at all this stuff is indestructable (Kinda) no scracthing unless you gouge it with something

Sergio_AVAcash 06-25-2006 04:37 PM

Looks great Tanker.

Quagmire 06-25-2006 05:10 PM

I put that down in my place because of my dogs. 5 years and my living room/dining room floor has one small scratch in it and thats because I stupidly dragged a table. The dogs haven't put a single mark on any of the laminate floors i've put down in the house.

Spunky 06-25-2006 05:11 PM

Looks like you did a great job..good work
