Idea for Dutch company
 

Form a German comany that then leases high end german cars to people in Holland. The import tax is so huge in your country. They could lease them for half of what they would pay in Holland.

Get a deal with a dealership to make a few %. You could do the same with any other service you would need to provide like insurance and license plates etc and the people in Holland would still save a ton of cash.

In the US we have companies do similar stuff all the time with state lines. If it was a true lease/rental, it should pass the scrutiny of the govt.

That is not possible. Your car must be registred in the country you live, leased or bought, doesn't matter. Some people with similar creative ideas have got giant fines.

great idea and illegal

$5k fine if you drive any foreign registered car in Holland longer then 3 months, plus your cars gone

Ok well I thought the Dutch were smart so they must have thought of this.

Its been illegal for decades we had a german neighbour who thought he could drive his MB in Holland cause he was german.

Took a month before he got fined I could hear him swear 5 fucking k. Lotsa ppl do it, I know a lotta guys here with german plates. Youre not insured, they random check a lot at borders and when they find out youre fucked.

It sucks I know. Then again Sweden is worse.
