Fucking annoying hardware USB problem [help pls]

So all of a sudden my pc doesnt recognize my external drive anymore, some fucked up I/O error.

When I connect it through the usb hub on my TFT or laptop it works fine. No funky stuff in system either.

Any :2 cents: ?

Bedankt :)

If the laptop has USB2, maybe it's seduced the drive into rejecting the previously successful amorous advances of the old desktop -- :) -- maybe.

yeah digicam mouse printer all works fine

installed a new windows last week still worked then all of sudden it stopped working, when I connect the ext drive it says (translated)

the I/O connection on \Device\Harddrive2\DR13 hasnt been completed running a time out

But the buscontrollers all have fine workin usb drivers. Weird. Drive makes a noise drives do when they crash, you know the ticking sound that keeps repeating. Works fine though through the laptop and the TFT hub.

Mine does that sometimes, but unplugging it and plugging it back in fixes it for me...

Try removing the USB in Device Manager, then re-installing USB.
