Sponsor Drama
Why do sponsors lie about their ratios and post bs like
1:172 CamelDongsInWhiteTrash.com 1:199 SaltyMaltedTrannyBalls.com 1:184 SicknTwistedMilkyMelons.com Do they really think they are fooling us to join or something? When everyone sends them 3,000 hits per day and gets no sales.... Is there a disclaimer saying, we only count the actual credit card attempts and is not a reflection of actually traffic that may be sent HHAHAHAHAAH :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
bullshit indeed, most do way better than that on this board
|
Where's the drama?
|
Yea, some of the sponsor pitches about conversions are pretty crazy.
|
All sponsors are different and as diverse as the different traffic types. I have no doubt they have quite a few affiliates with ratios that good, and even better. But there is the lions share of affiliates that are doing WAY worse than that. I have not seen their stats so this is only speculation.
There are also ways to skew ratios, such as not showing true first page uniques / etc. But in general sponsors want you to believe that you will make a bazillion dollars regardless of the traffic type. It's all marketing to get your traffic. Always check the bottom line. |
Sure they might have a sponsor that converts in 1:187 but across the board? I doubt anyone breaks 1:1000 on any site. With all the bs watered traffic, redirection and crap... PUH LEASE
Hell for them to state that after I send them 3000 hits of pure se and get nothing, they must haev someone doing 1:20 to maintain that ratio lol And I am just one affiliate, not counting the FHG crap that probably gets them another 500,000 shit hits per day Maybe their business is 99% cross sales and hence 0 hits = signup Must be the "bottom line" as you state |
Sponsors are sales people... deal with it.
|
to be ohnest i get 1:104 with my sposner, so i must bring his average down.
|
Depends on how they "count" traffic. If they count join or second those numbers are very doable....actually quite easy :2 cents:
It for this very reason that rations don't mean shit, they should only be used for comparisons. Ray |

I'd try hitting them up to see if they have suggestions on how to improve those ratios. I like when affiliates contact me about their promotions. It makes us all better sales people. :) |
