MySpace Account Deleted.....
 

Shit - I think my account was deleted - can't log into it this morning. Anybody having problems logging into theirs?

The nice people at MYSPACE have deleted everything in my profile (EVERYTHING!!!!!! back ground-song-movies-pics.............) 3 times now in the past 2 months!!!!!! I write them and ask WHY because I have broken no rules and have no nudity.............but they never get back to me. Sucks to rebuild! :(

That really sucks man! The pics in my profile were Twistys pics but nothing explicit and I had put black bars accross any boobies so I can't imagine that being a reason for deleting my account. Other then that...I have no idea what those fuckers are doing over there :Oh crap

I know me either! If you look at mine www.myspace.com/nikobimini you will see only soft core tease images and NO nudty at all. Yet they have deletes everything 3 timees now. Makes no sense and is a big pain in the ass the set everything back up again cause they delete everything on the page including all settings.

Its free so we can't complain too much, but it still sucks!

putting webdesign (which includes video/audio embeds) at the user's hand reminds me of the first days of webdesign back in 95-96 when people had pages uploaded to their aol accounts. or when everyone was on tripod.

aesthetically it's really quite sad.

I didn't have any "links" to Twistys but I did mention Twistys.com in the body of my "about me" section and most of the pics had a Twistys.com watermark...but no links :winkwink:

I think I'll rebuild and instead of having Twistys.com in the profile, I'll try it with BlueFantasies.com. If all those Penthouse Pets can advertise and promote "Penthouse" on their profiles, surely BlueFantasies.com would acceptable. Hmmmm, will be interesting to see :thumbsup

I think you're missing the point of the site. It's a great way to stay in touch with friends that you already have and reconnect with others. For example, I have found several friends on myspace from grade school and just today a good friend of mine from college found me on myspace. without myspace, it would have been nearly impossible to reconnect with my old friends.

It's not about putting webdesign at the user's hands.

Us porn guys always try take advantage of a good thing, I had a profile and put pics of all my girls on there and then went crazy and added strangers to my account just to get joins. NEWSFLASH that is not what MYSPACE was built for and so the account got deleted.

I could cry over it or realise that sometime my porn shenanigans are not wanted in mainstream which I did and moved on.

Sorry to hear that, Dean. I was going to warn you about that when I saw your profile, but they obviously beat me to it.

I have had issues with images on Myspace as well. They deleted several pics of mine that were *what they called explicit photos*. They were nothing more than pics in bikinis and my hands covering my naughty bits. (very tasteful pics) They informed me that my profile would be deleted ASAP, unless I made it more of a personal page, along with no more pics above a PG-13 rating.

It amazes me that they have the resources to manually check all these pages as there are millions of them. Also, what if you build a page and it passes their initial test but then update it a few weeks later with some nude pics, are they really checking every page weekly? Also I thought there was the ability to make pages visible only to those 18 or over, is that still in effect?

myspace has an entire department decicated to browsing and deleting profiles....after all those dateline nbc shows on it they hired a bunch of people just for that

With their new policy (and your recent bad experiences)...I decided to remove a few pics on my own profile (a few with black bars) - better safe than sorry.

It'd be no great loss if MySpace decides to axe it...but I do put a fair bit of time and effort into the blog section, and I wouldn't want that killed off.

I appreciate the help and have had a few others tell me they get the same view as you.

Girlfriends house= 17inch wide screen

Parents house = 17 inch wide screen


All I have ever looked on is fucking widescreens to it always looks good for me.
