PR but no traffic?
 

I have a site with PR2 that get's ZERO hits from google. How can that be and how can I change it?

How old is your site?
It's probable in a Google sandbox.

You need to keep submitting and get your sites content quality or no one will look for your site

I've had the most google traffic from sites with PR0

the ones that have PR4 tend to get very little google traffic at all, and they are well over a year old so they shouln't be 'in google's sandbox'

doesn't really answer your question, but it shows there is no relation between PR and traffic...

PR = money is a myth

Not entirely right or wrong. Traffic doesn't have to mean making money either. But zero traffic sure the hell equals zero money. You can use PR to get more traffic. PR2 is going to help much. PR4 is more in the groove...

For one PR has to do with how often Google visits your site. Google has obviously tweaked with the algo some. Wish I knew the exact details. Maybe some time on the SEO sites.....

wtf why do so many people think you have to submit your site to a search engine.. I have thousands of pages index'd , never submitted my site to anything..

Here's a hypothetical scenario:

The web sites of academic institutions (.edu's) tend to have high PR (for obvious reasons). Imagine that there is an esoteric field of research within an esoteric science, and that several major universities have labs dedicated to this work. The lab of one university has a web site. The web site is linked to from deep within the appropriate departments of the other universites. Because it is such an esoteric research, there are maybe 10 people involved in this work in all the universities that are involved. These guys, as you can imagine, know each other pretty well. They share data and read each other blogs. There is actually very little on the lab's site, just a list of links to PR 8s and 9s. When these people want to get information about the work their colleagues are doing, they usually pick up the phone, not go to Google...
