Do you use Nero to burn DVDs?

When I play a burned dvd in my ps2 it looks just fine, but when I play the same dvd in my regular dvd player there is this weird border on the top and bottom of the widescreen part. How do I get rid of that?

WWC-Pajio 06-22-2006 09:05 PM

.....I used to use it before I got my new laptop now..

sweetgirl2006 06-22-2006 09:06 PM

I use nero and i don't have that border problem.

we use to get a small green line on the bottom. I think it is gone and not sure what we did either.

it just depends on what quality it is, if its a DVDR you downloaded, it should work fine but missing a few deleted scenes

see that's the weird thing, all of the dvds i burn are 100% dvd quality all the way through start to finish, but on my dvd player they have this weird border...it's kinda hard to explain. like a thick black border around the picture...

nero sucks ass

but there are no borders when you play a normal store-bought dvd?

Before you burn it, "try" unchecking the "enable menu" box...it works for me.:thumbsup

Vitasoy 06-22-2006 11:28 PM

Maybe it's your dvd player? Since you said the ps2 played it fine

biftek 06-22-2006 11:34 PM

i would be going with a prob on your dvd player , are you using the same brand of dvd's? try changing to another brand
do you have access to another stand alone dvd player to try on

You are sure you have it set for ntsc and not pal? Sorta sounds like what it would look like if encoded for PAL.

and do you get this border on other dvd players ??( not talking about ps2 either) if you dont check the aspect ration settings on the dvd player If you say im not sure take it to a freinds place and check...chances are its aspect ration related or something weird in your dvd player

gandalfuy 06-23-2006 01:44 AM

gooddomains 06-23-2006 01:45 AM

V_RocKs 06-23-2006 01:52 AM
