Know much about mortgages and financing?
 

Friend of mine is looking for a $110k 12-month loan on a $330k property ( balloon mortgage deal I think ) and needs a quick turnaround on the loan to keep the house after his prior attempt fell through. I think he's got about 20 days left to figure something out.

If you know anyone or have any links, sources, or suggestions that I can pass to him.. let me know. I'll know more about the situation later.

has he talked directly to the banks? countrywide also has fairly lax standards for getting a loan.

lots of place to get a second mortgage...just you will pay through the nose for it

The one thing I've learned about mortgage brokers and real estate agents is they are all part time worthless fools. Getting one to call you back is all most impossible.

If he's in the USA, give www.eloan.com a try. They have just about every type of loan available and they are a direct lender so they can make decisions fast. I've referred several to them and they have all been pleased.
