Best Places to Ping for Blogs?

Greg,
There are some default wordpress ping services that hang. Test them individually and remove the ones that suck.
Here's my list:

I just use Pingoat. Most of my network's traffic come from people quoting my posts or my feeds. Here's a tip re blogging: use a very provocative personality for your posts. Drama, just like in forums, sell well on blogs.

I thought WordPress pinged these automatically using pingomatic - do these need to be individually inserted into your write options?

Pingomatic does all those anyways. If you add some other services you are just spamming your XMLRPC updates. These are the bigger one's. As for adult services I'm not sure of.
