Need a camcorder for shooting a sport dvd
 

I am going to be shooting some sport related video stuff I need the content to be put on a dvd. Also some of it may later be used on a website.

Any recomendations I was thinking panasonic gs300 or sony HDR-HC1?

Can you be more specific as to the type of Sport? It would probably be best if you had a place near you to go and play with them. The prices on them are also much different:

Sony HC1 - $1400
Panasonic GS300 - $800

I like the sony.

Sony DCR-DVD405 with 2 MP for video and 3 MP for still images, plus many other features, I have one and it's very good and cheap for what it does. :thumbsup

Have a look at others in the same category too. Must admit I dont know enough myself, but my uncle shoots indie movies with such cameras (if not the exact one). More expensive than the average camera, but movie-quality output.

What do you mean? It uses mini-DVDs (DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW) to record on, you can keep them like that or transfer them to a PC for editing and re-record them to a normal size DVD with the same high quality ...
just buy it from a reputable online shop, do a check first on www.resellerratings.com since many cheap products are displayed on bait and switch scam sites ... :2 cents:
