CHMOD In DreamWeaver MX Anyone?

This just may qualify as one of those "newbie questions". I've been using DreamWeaver MX for a couple of years now but everytime I need to change folder permissions I always use CuteFTP because I could never figured out how to do it in DreamWeaver?

I'm tired of opening CuteFTP and connecting to a server everytime I need to change folder permissions on something I already have opened and connected in DreamWeaver. So the question: Does DreamWeaver MX have CHMOD capability and if so where the hell is it? Thanks!

I'll be interested in the answer to this.

Good question, but I don't know the answer. I always use an external FTP client to CHMOD.

Interesting, I've never had to do this either, i just chmod from the command line in a shell

Ok, here's how you do it (don't worry, it's actually extremely easy):

First, connect Dreamweaver to your Remote Server and expand that panel

Next, right-click on the file or folder that you want to CHMOD and select "Set Permissions"

Finally, just choose the settings that you want to use and click OK

That's all there is to it. :thumbsup

Just make sure you are looking at the REMOTE VIEW and not the local one.

Thanks for taking the time to post that. Unfortunately Dreamweaver MX does not offer "Set Permissions..." as an option when right-clicking the folder as it apparently does in DreamWeaver 8.
