Lol that fool forgot he already gave a yellow card to a player from kroatia. He gave him the second yellow card, but thought it was his first...

AFTER the last signal, he DID give him the RED card....

pretty insane in a world cup match.. there is a total of 5 refs per game so hope they go after this.. amazing :/

yeah that ref is going to cop major heat here in australia after that... FIFA will have to get onto his case

couple of other poll mistakes:

2005: got drunk during a trainingcamp for refs and climbed cars for fun.. was suspended for the first two rounds

2004: was supposed to ref united vs pool but made public remarks about gary neville and lost the match

2003: failed to whistle for a clear freekick for sheffield united and ran over a united player when arsenal counterattacked causing arsenal to score the decisive goal only second before full time. Sheffield U manager Neil Warnock demanded poll suspended

2001: totally lost control over an arsenal game and was suspended from all arsenal matches for the following 2 years

2002: italy lost 2-1 versus croatia in the world cup after poll whistled off 2 goals wrongly causing italy to drop out of the tournament
