Genius Test
This is actually very interesting...try it. But don't cheat!
Count the number of F's in the following text: FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE- SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIF- IC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS Managed it? ............ Scroll down only after you have counted them! OK? How many? Three? Wrong, there are six -- no joke! Read again! FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE- SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIF- IC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS The reasoning is further down... The brain cannot process the word "OF." Incredible or what? Anyone who counts all six 'F' on the first go is a genius, Three is normal. |
THAT WAS AWESOME ram...I'm just pissed I'm not a genius..
|
No genius here.
|
Seen it before...fooled both times...I think I may be mildly mentally disabled...*drool*
|
damn, i counted 8, i guess im super dooper genuis
|
Actually you have it reversed... The GENIUS of seeing ONLY 3 F's is in fact proven by the mind's ability to ignore what is actually there -- and to perceive that as A TRUTH!!!
2+2 = 5 This can be true because reality is only what we are aware of -- awareness comes from the collective unconscious mind -- collectivly by the grace of God or whatever the fuck you want to call it -- we are able to make a leap while reading -- to only read the words in a sentence that have meaning for us -- for *comprehension* -- so our mind has made the leap -- not to follow the curve of every fucking letter -- your mind doesn't have to know that an "o" is a circle in order to fucking read the word "order" and our mind makes the best of even more efficiency mechanisms -- word groupings, associative language intuitition, dropping dead space (ie: to, of, the, is, etc.) -- dropping useless sentences (ie: scanning/speed reading) Do you wonder why I break my paragraphs so often? It's because I know people have a short attention span -- and paragraphs that look longer tend to scare off efficient people. It is the efficient people that have dropped the F's when they were really there -- these are the people that have changed their own reality -- these are successful people because successful people do LESS WORK and so dropping F's is proof!!! I got 4 on the first go. At least my brain is keeping pace with my above-average cock :winkwink:
|
Shit, I counted 3 too.. fuckin' brain.
|
I read very carefully and counted 6. I think Ive heard a trick similar before.... heres another good one.
Add these 8 simple numbers in your head: 1000 40 1000 10 1000 40 1000 10 ________ answer below..... Did you get 5000? If so, your wrong.... add them again. *This works great when you write them on paper for someone else and have them add them as you write them. |
The thousand trick is based on the audio stimulus that you're giving the person -- the repetition of hearing "thousand" 4 times sets the person up to want to fall into rhythm with you by saying "thousand" alternatively between random numbers... the fifth "thousand" is in a sense a release for them to be able to match you.
40 and 10 is used in this trick because these numbers are easy to add and thus the rhythm is not broken... "ten" and "forty" are short abrupt and harsh words -- where "thousand" is a softer more sensual word that can be enunciated in a pleasing way in order to get the trick to work better. |
i got the first one wrong, i tried spelling out each word, but for some reason i didnt spell out 'of' and i just said it. i did get the thousand trick right though cause i first added all the 1000's, then i added the 40's, then i added the 10's, then i added the three #'s together.

i saw six!
but...i'm not going to brag because a genius iq is at least 140 (maybe more), and mine is 134. |

|

|
I'm a genius ...I counted six...only becsue I saw this before an knew where to look
|
i counted 3. then i double and triple checked and still counted three.....i didn't move on till i spelled every word 3 times and was 100% sure there were only three! and i'm the guy that thinks you can never be 100% sure of anything!
that's fucked up. my genius has turned into madness, i can't even figure out the obvious when it's right there in front of me in plain letters. someone please tell me i'm stoopid :helpme |
I'M A FUCKING GENIUS!!!
I guess.. I counted six :)) |
I still can't find the other 3? :321GFY
Actually I counted five times just to make sure I counted all three of them. Had to make sure I got it right. I can't believe I overlooked it five times. |
Damn! I got Five, still looking for the last one.... :ugone2far
|
if u skim it you'll get 3, if u read it 6.
interesting |
I can see that if you get 2 or less than your a fuck'n retard, but I dont see how getting all six makes you a ginues. :question

so the slow ppl look like geniuses while the others don't. its all a scam! |
Ok I counted 5 the first time.............
So am I somewhere in between normal and genius now? LMAO |
Here's a tip... Read it backwards, you'll see it more likely as letters instead of words and count 'em easier. Whoa, dyslexia pays off
:winkwink: |
am I genious or what ? I seriously saw 6 !
when I scrolled down I was ready to see that there is 10 or something.. |

TheFLY is 100 % right, the real genious of the brain is that we only spend time on the important stuff. If you count more than 3 f's in that text, you simply have bad reading habits and read too slow and ineffective.
Nice anylyzis of the the rhyme too, great to see some lyrical awareness. Being aware of the importance of it while making textlinks for galleries and salespitches for avs sites probably enhance sales more than most would think it would. :) Lars |
lol that's cool

Speed reading teaches you to read whole phrases and lines as if they were words. We are taught in school to link letters together to read a word. We see the word "car" as the individual letters of C - A - R. Speed reading teaches you to do the same thing but to link the words together instead of the letters. The same way that we identify the letter "f", a speed reader identifies the word "finger". By the time a person reads the word "fellatio" a speed reader has read a sentence of eight words.
I say all of this because I am a speed reader and I only counted 3. I had to come up with some excuse :) |
Cannot read, sorry ...
