Looking for a liberal place to live

We are considering moving in the next year or so and I am wondering where we should be looking. Currently I live in Kansas and it's far to red for my comfort. I would love to be some place with mountains if I can find one that is at least a little bit porn friendly. Does such a place exist?

xxxdesign-net 06-21-2006 02:05 PM

Vermont?

sextoyking 06-21-2006 02:06 PM

Portland, Oregon Area.

Oregon is one of the most liberal states in the us, and under are constitution and court rulings - there can be almost no restrictions on the adult ent. industry...

inthecrack 06-21-2006 02:08 PM

Brazil... Anywhere in Europe...

DivaShane 06-21-2006 02:08 PM

Oregon is now on our list of states to check out. Thanks
I don't know much about Vermont. I'll have to check there as well.

Good to hear.

In the portland area, your around 1 hour to the beach (ocean) and 1 hr. to Mt. Hood for Skiing, boarding, etc.

We do get rain alot - so if your not into that, well.

Everything is broadband around here, from Cable Modem (comcast) to dsl (verizon and qwest), If you move to a verizon area (the burbs) FIOS (fiber is coming)

mabey read some stuff about this area online at, www.oregonlive.com

masterporndude 06-21-2006 02:16 PM

Arkansas I hear anything goes on down there

Aly 06-21-2006 02:19 PM

Canada, darling. :thumbsup

ContentSHOOTER 06-21-2006 02:20 PM

Europe:thumbsup :)

sextoyking 06-21-2006 02:23 PM

oh and forgot to add, we are 1 of 3 states in the usa with NO sales tax at all.

you find a nice 2k tv, you pay 2k :)

DivaShane 06-21-2006 02:25 PM

Oregon is sounding good so far. I love rain so that isn't an issue for me at all and the idea of being that close to beaches and mountains really rings my bell. ;)
I'll definetly check out that link, thanks!

Aly,
If I could move to Canada I would have been there yesterday! We looked into it once and are still waiting on some information regarding sponsors.

DivaShane 06-21-2006 02:26 PM

Damn, no sales tax? I love that.

DivaShane 06-21-2006 02:27 PM

Europe is one of those places we looked at but scratched from the list due to expenses.

TRIP66 06-21-2006 02:28 PM

Seattle Portland or San Francisco

Tdog 06-21-2006 02:34 PM

Check out how much tax you'll be paying before coming here.

DaddyHalbucks 06-21-2006 02:35 PM

Not Rhode Island. It's a blue state, but...

We have high taxes, and we are socially conservative.

Politically, RI is very liberal, which has caused government corruption, union control, and super high taxes. But, socially, we are conservative, the most Catholic state in the country.

If you can get past all that, Narragansett Bay is a gorgeous place to call home.

FTVBeauties 06-21-2006 02:47 PM

Oregon, Canada, etc.

Massachusetts is a great place too, lots of mountains within a very short drive, not alot of rain, very liberal (16 votings for same-sex marriage laws, its still legal), and above all, central and western mass is not as highly priced for living as Boston.

Also, though we have a 5% sales tax, you CAN get away with a short drive (one hour from almost anywhere in the state) to New Hampshire for all your tax-free needs =)

We have no sales tax, but they make up for it in other ways. We have a pretty big state income tax and our property taxes are through the roof. Housing costs are skyrocketing right now. I have a freind that just bought a brand new house. He paid 305K for it and a week a later someone offered him 350K for it. The company that built his house ( he's lived in it about 2 months now) are building a couple more like it in the same development and will be charging 375K for them now. So it's not without it's expenses.

Also, if you have kids you will want to look into some kind of private school because most of the portland area schools are in a constant, never ending, state of being under funded and poorly run.

Got to Cuba. Most liberals try to encourage America to try their type of economic system. It might be nice. LOL

XBIZ WORLD just ranked the "Top 10 Porn-Producing Cities in the US" (June 2006): LA, Las Vegas, NYC, Chicago, SF, Miami/ S. FL, Seattle, San Diego, Phoenix, etc..

Personally, I would be inclined to pick San Francisco. The weather is mild there.

Bdiddy 06-21-2006 09:03 PM

Seattle...
