The War In Iraq Will Never Stop
US Soldiers up against suicide bombers and blood thirsty maniacs...
This whole situation is UGLY... and your dreaming if you think that the bloodshed is going to stop It's like sticking your foot into a giant ant mound and wiggling it every few minutes.... Those ants are going to continue to sting and bite your foot FOREVER |
There's no war in Irak,
Occupation would be the right term. |
This am called 'Asymmetrical Guerilla Warfare' and you're right - it won't stop. The US has two options:
1.) Leave 2.) Genocide The "Iraqi Security" force are basically members of the warring tribes and true insurgents in blue button-down shirts. Now, our goal in perpetuating the Iran/Iraq war (who was our boy then, btw?) was to create destabilization in the region so no one super-dude controled the crude. Did they want the same thing in Iraq? Probably not, but they got it. The future? The U.S. is fucked, and probably facing a severe economic downturn. |
got a point there

war is money
|
You are right, it will never end. The only way you could end this is by changing the culture generationally. This generation will never accept us, so it's time you start working on the next.
|
it's nearly impossible to fight "fairly" in a situation in which the enemy is mixed in with the general civilian population.
|
|
Basically.. there is nothing "fair" in conflict - on both sides.
Those who fight what could be described as "unfairly", are using the tools they have - they don't have Apache gunships nor can they launch missles by pressing a button 200 miles away. They fight with the only tools they do have - it has been that way since the dawn of time. We would all do the same, come crunch time. Who knows, but suspect nothing will change till forces of occupation are removed totally. Even after that, there is a few "domestic issues" to clear up. There are no winners in this - never will be. No conventional forces have ever "defeated" those engaged in guerilla (or "terrorist") warfare. The people now on the "other side" in the Middle East are the same group/s who convinced Russia to pack up and leave the area - they are used to "invaders". Suggestions of "changing cultures" is even more absurd now. Incidents viewed have already incited retaliatory action and the longer "incidents" continue, - the more "anti" there will be. It costs far more to change "minds" than has ever been spent on this "war". Anyways, it is not the prerogative of any other nation to change the culture of another - that's just sheer arrogance. |
ofcourse its never gonna stop, the US just built an Embassy in Baghdad, they even got their own website now :)

Like we need a goddamned embassy there. Let me guess, its to assist all of the American tourists who flock there every year to sunbathe on the oil and blood soaked sands with thier lost passports. |

those people have been fighting in that part of the world for thousands of years ,maybe the only one to control them is to have a animal like saddam in power.

Haliburton's stock has tripled since the beginning of the war. It's only cost 2500 US lives and 10's of thousand of those lowly Iraqi's. Why would they stop it now.

An actual reply in this thread would be like trying to teach algebra in an premature infant care center. :1orglaugh

The only person who has a plan on either side is John Murtha. Here is a decorated veteran, who is a total hawk regardless of his affiliation, and he is the only one coming up with an actual plan. Stay the course, is not a plan. Every time I hear the cut and run bs from the republicans, I just want to point out, that is what Bush did in Afghanistan. And let me remind you of current events. They are the ones who attacked us, not Iraq. |

as the art of war says , use your weakness as your strong point iraqi army is small ,meaning they can move around faster war is never fair , i hardly call dropping bombs from 10's of thousands of feet up , a fair fight |
