I just wanted to let all of you know not to do business with Kibitoff AKA Mister D sometimes Mister B and his first name is Mark.

If any of you know of his name on other message boards, you can just let others know of him as well.


First of all I asked for a designer a few weeks ago (the end of May) to design some galleries for me. I had a few designers design some for me already and had great business with them. Thank you Jayson at http://www.tenderdesign.com/

I contacted Kibitoff and promised to have galleries in about a week or two, which would mean I would have them completed June 9th. I wanted to send half payment via Paypal or by Epassporte; unfortunately he was no longer to be able to receive payments that way. So I decided to do him a favor and send via Western Union which means a $25 wire transfer fee, which I did make him pay half and it was okay with that.

As the weeks progressed I noticed he would not answer any ICQ?s, none of the emails and I simply wanted to know the status of the galleries. It was only 10 galleries to get a sample of his work which he claimed his site portfolio is: http://adultcreative.com/portfolio.html which I know now is Nick AKA ChewbaCreative.

I later did a check and found that he was ?let go? from adultcreative.com in the middle of May. I gave him a scare that I would let others know of him and his business ethics and he finally contacted me last week claiming his internet was down and he would upload the galleries that night and email them to me but he lost my email address? So I gave it to him right away. Here I am still trying to contact him to get the galleries I already paid in full for, this was 6 days ago that he claimed he would get them to me. I am tired of bullshitting now and this is not worth my time. So I just wanted to let others know on this board and others. I did make other ICQ aliases and contacted him about design work; he immediately contacted me to start work for me and still claims adultcreative.com is his design work. So I know my ICQ and emails are simply being ignored.


In summary:
I paid in full for 10 galleries, and 2 weeks later still have not heard a word. He has done this to 3 other webmasters so far that I know of and he has been reported to different government agencies. He claims www.adultcreative.com is his site which he used to work for. So you pay him half or full payment, don?t expect to get it back?


It?s not the money I am worried about; it?s just the principal of it?

I will now do better background checks of all types of businesses online and have not had a problem like this in the last 4 years I have been doing this. I suggest all people on here to check the background of others before buying.

its sad cause there are a lot of talented freelancers around here and other boards.. it too bad that a few scammers screw it up for everyone...

This is true about freelancers...but I dont know if there is a way around it. This is why professional firms will always hold a significant edge for guaranteed quality ...much less if they just dissapear.

im sorry to hear that man. He is really a shit. were supposed to do business here and not to bullshit other people. i hope you wont loose hope in trusting people because there are more people who can be trusted and is man enough of his word that those losers. cheer up man.

Sorry to hear your bad luck in discovering a jack ass in the business, but then again jack ass and business tend to go hand in hand.

designers are fuck heads in general. I had one of those send me template 2 weeks ago and then just disapear.. good thing I did not pay him anything yet

I know how ya feel man, I've had designers drop off the face of the Earth. Another would make 1 template for me, it'd be good. So I'd pay him to make 10 more templates and he'd just copy the sameone he made for me but just change a few colors... then bitch when I wasn't satisfied.

Its hard to trust freelancers and I feel the effects of it from potential clients whenever I deal for my video editing work. Alot of people are hesitant and I can't blame them.

Dose anyone ask if these so called gallery designers if they even submit galleries?
You would be surprised by how many dont.
If they cant show you samples on some well known TGP's why would do buisness with these people.

I have always tried to be careful online and seriously have never had a problem... I try to do someone a favor and get fucked.

A simple "I am too busy to get them to you in the next week" would have worked... but not one email, one ICQ.


I have a designer I love now and I will stick with him, I know of a couple other good guys on here as well.

lol, I had similar experience with a guy named Mark, but I don't think it's the same guy since 'my' Mark sent me my money back, he couldn't understand why I was pissed off. I asked for 15 galleries to be made in three days, on the 5th day I had ONE!

Anyway, kudos to the guys form http://cheapadultdesign.com/ - did great job for me and they finished the galleries a day before the deadline !!!!!

thing is simple
have u contacted the guy that is mentioned on their contact page? or just th e guy who shown the AdultCreative portfolio and told that he was done the work
if u contacted mark and sent him cash then its not the AC problem cause u can read on main page
mark has no relation to adult creative company

What really sucks is he might just create another username and be doing the same shit as before... Do background checks of the person from the previous 10 years before buying... Pain in the ass!

I dont know anyone personally able to do that, plus how do you know they are giving you valid information? Not to mention, how cost effective is it?

After weeks of waiting for my webdesign and paying 250$ in advance,
after that he always said he would send me the sketches soon, and some weeks later he said his partner ripped him off and his whole pc equipment has gone and that he needs some more time now...
Well after 7 weeks of waiting I sitll have seen shit. Im sick of it and luckily I didnt pay the full amount in advance.

hey all... just don't confuse "Mark" with "MarcusG", okay? Ask for references. Anyone who has been around for a while can provide verifiable references who you can contact.

Setting up a website is a great idea... I posted a while back about creating a poll here on GFY, but it didn't fly. The only problem with the website, and the poll, would be keeping it accurately updated. As long as it doesn't get out of hand and start requiring payments to be toplisted, at least it would be a single resource. Certainly food for thought.

Well, simplest is to avoid freelancers - it happens to me in like 50% of the cases that they walk away and they never complete the work or if they do complete it is shit and I need to remake it.
