Anyone from PimpRoll around?
 

Pimp.biz has been slow for over a week. Most of the time I get a "server busy" message. Can't even read posts or posts messages on the board. Hence why I am posting about it here.

Hi GatorB, it's been working normally for me.. Possible there is a router down between you and the server. Check a trace route to the domain, anything slow/timeing out?

I did and on the first 8 hops I get a timed out response

The thing is if it was some router problem why would I get

"The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later."

from the website? That would indicate that it's pimp.biz servers that have an issue.

Well I think that's more a generic time out error from firefox maybe? IE would give a DNS error in that situation normally.
The closer hops are near you somewhere, and might explain why nobody else has commented (to me anyway) about the board not loading or having troubles..

Not sure what to suggest at the moment, but I'll mention it to the tech's in the morning just in case.

Only thing I can tell is that last wek I made a coule of comments that PR_Dave didn't like and he deleted them then I called him on that. He deleted that and ever since then I can't access pimp.biz

You're not banned or anything though. And the first hops timing out is indicative of some routing issue closer to the source than the destination, but still I'll make sure to get someone to check it out. Can you email me the traceroute? tom at pimproll dot come should work.

Well I e-mailed you and never heard anything, but I have found out something interesting.

When I'm logged in I have the hardest time even accessing the board at all. If I can it's very very slow. Most of the time I get this "sever busy" shit. This is happening with IE, FF and Opera. Now if I'm not logged in I can access the messageboards like normal with no problems. This happens on IE, FF and Opera. Now can you explain that?

Sounds like the miserable user option.

You will be able to surf the board but you will get the errors you mention above all the time.

They have you set as Miserable User, thats what it sounds like to me.

Gatorb, yes I got your email but you posted on our board since then, so I thought it was solved. I'll ask a tech again about it now..

Also, to my knowledge we dont have any "miserable" type setting on anyone if it even exists on our board. We want people to be able to post.

Yeah somehow I was able to get in to post that day. Still took me like 5 tries to finally get on and get my post thru.

Gator made posts that I deleted, yes.

And I will continue to delete posts on our board that I find do not benefit the whole. It's a support board. If it is not a support issue, I delete it.

Gator was complaining that he did not make enough sales to get the $150 Friday bonus, but then the following day he made 5 sales.

This is what I call a beating the chest thread. No questions asked, just complaints.

ICQ is a pile of crap. I don't even have it installed on my computer. e-mial. I find the PMs get a faster response. This appliess in gerenal not specifically referring to you.

Perhaps. I'm not really a phone person. I never call anyone. Ask my friends. Besides I should call you guys about the fact I can't get on the messageboard? I think phone calls should be reserved for slightly more important issues.

I haven't had access to the baord or the PM function in over a week save ONE time very briefly. Hence my post here since PR_Tom often posts here I knew he see it.

You generally have a good program save a couple of months back in March and April and Mid July to mid Aug last year and I stayed with you despite that because of how good you were in the past. You guys took over AVP from ARS which was the big reason I started to promote you guys.

PR_Tom has been very professional thru this as he is on all his posts here no what the topic may be about. So I'm not going to judge PR as a whole just because you.

But if you really don't want my business then perhaps I should go elsewhere.
