Fathers Day... Good feelings and bad feelings...
 

Fathers day is sometimes a hard day for me... Mainly because of the past with my biological father... I still have issues with him to this day even knowing it's not my fault.. My step father is a good man, and has always been more of a real father than my biological father ever was...

My parents divorced when I was really young, I would visit my biological father here and there and have a good time, until he was remarried with a child rom his new wife.

The last memory I have of my father was when he sat me down for our last visit together and told me "You have your own family now, and I have mine, I can not see you anymore."

I was about 5 years old then... pretty fucked thing to do to your first born biological son..

Around age 22 I was in Minnesotta visiting my grandparents final resting place, I gave my biological father a call to ask him if he would like to meet to talk about our lives, not wanting a father, but to just talk about how things have been, and so maybe I could learn more about my three other siblings who I have never seen to this day. He said "I don't think that would be a good idea."

So fathers day to me is a good and bad day.. all in one...

Anyone else got any similar stories?

nah had my blood father with me all the way, sorry to hear about that.

Since my son died last year I think Father's day is tough on my Dad. Oddly, last year when I was going through some of my son's things before Father's Day, I found some cards he had already bought him, so that was kind of cool. But my Dad and my brother were basically my son's father when he was growing up, so I know it's hard on both of them.

Don't get me started on Mother's Day. Thankfully I have friends who go to Vegas with me so I can act like it's not Mother's Day that weekend.

I wish I didnt live so far from my Dad so I could've been with him...
