YAY, I finally get my Drivers License back today!!!
 

Thanks to a "clerical error" by the Austin Police Dept (or maybe it was DPS) I have been unable to drive for nearly a month :mad: . Incompetent fuckers. Somehow they classified my license as "suspended" and even went so far as to add the requirement that any vehicle that I am driving must be equipped with an "ignition interlock device" (breathalizer). WTF?! I haven't even gotten so much as a speeding ticket in the past 5 or 6 years!!! So when I was informed of this new development, I called DPS to clear it up and they told me that I would have to get my attorney to file some motion and then get a judge to issue a letter of release (to remove the breathalizer requirement) and then I had to pay $100 to DPS to have my license "reinstated". WTF kind of bullshit is that? I've actually had to have my parents or friends come pick me up and give me a ride if I needed to go somewhere; talk about embarrassing :Oh crap :1orglaugh . God I HATE incompetence :disgust



Oh well, at least I get my toys back now :winkwink:

The first prototype for the project is in transit as we speak. According to UPS tracking it will be delivered here sometime tomorrow; so i can finally update the damn project :1orglaugh . As far as the goal though, I was originally leaning towards an '07 Escalade but lately the Jeep SRT-8 has been gaining serious ground in my head :winkwink: .

From experience Escalade is junk. All plastic and american made.

Oh trust me, I was mad as hell! Unfortunately, (supposedly) no one knows where the mysterious screw up came from or how any of the got on my file. Like I said, these people are just about the most incompetant bunch of idiots that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Normally I would have gone down there myself and torn straight into someone, but I tried to calm myself down and I thought about it and I guess when it all comes down to it, do I really want to piss off the people that have the ability (and access) to SEVERELY fuck it up even worse? :uhoh :Oh crap :winkwink:

I'm having my attorney look into it, but I seriously doubt that I have any grounds for a lawsuit.
