ex-smokers
I haven't had a cigarette in 6 day's. I been using the patch. It's not as difficult as I thought but my nerves are shot. It seems like everything irritates me now, does this get any better with time?
Yes. It took me almost a month to stop acting like what my wife called "a psychotic bitch on her period".
trust me dude long run so much better. smoking is pointless, people only start because it looks cool. Because noone likes the taste when they first start. fact
Thats great to hear, man, don't give up, hold in there :thumbsup
It is weird though - it will almost happen over night and you'll soon start feeling better and also start feeling better about everything. Things that bothered you when you smoked no longer will, sex is better, food tastes better (or worse :P), thinking actually becomes more clear etc. etc. Your whole life will be better soon.
I just went through this a few months ago so the changes are pretty fresh in my head. Good luck - hard part is almost over. |

I quit several years ago after three years of smoking and it was the best thing I did.
I hated smoking so it was easy for me to give up, I just did it cause it was cool and everyone else was then I realised it wasnt cool, it's rather stinky and gave up...You will feel better in yourself in a few more week so stick to it mate and well done for trying! |
but keep going! never stop trying! You can do it! :)
Just hold in there and don't start back again and you'll see that it gets a lot easier with time. About three years ago I quit for 4 months, but started smoking again. Big mistake...
I went cold turkey myself about a year and a half ago. I will sometimes have a cig or two but it's hard for me to finish a whole cig. The best thing to do is keep that will power alive. After another week or two you should be a lot better. Try going to the gym or for a run or something you will feel a lot better.
hell yeah it gets better.... You get used to the patch and then phase off it of course... Breathing gets better and you can smell again!
I tried to quit few times but i always started again:(
am in same process again and i use Zyban, hope this time will be better! |
I quit back in mid-March.
Was on the patch for the whole 10 week period. Yes, I had a few bad days in there, but I stuck it out. Cravings come sometimes, but I just ignore 'em. |
I quit 13 years ago and pretty much can't stand the smell of them anymore
