im sure its massive, but if 1,500,000 computers are hitting them with 1000 connections each, they might have a small problem

wow, and here I thought I would come in here and madawgz would have posted a business thread about google slowing down in how fast they crawl

There is a law that is going through the house (already passed in the house) and senate in the US. I don't know too much about it, but the idea is that owners of websites can pay to have preferential treatent given to packets transferred from their servers. As a result, if your ISP is running at maximum capacity, sites that do not pay this fee should load more slowly. Anyway, Google has refused to pay any fees for such services. I haven't kept up with this issue as much as I probably should, but it is called the "Net Neutrality" act or something like that. All I know is that if it passes, which it proably will because it is pro-huge corporation, you can probably expect google, and any non-corporate websites to load more slowly.
