this happens on a daily basis and i have no fucking clue why...

firefox.exe takes up 100% cpu usage...:mad:

btw, i usually have 10 tabs open so that might be the problem..

I love firefox but it's a fucking resource hog.. :( keep it open longer then an hour it starts using like 100k+ memory

That usually happens to me whenever I try visiting a site with a type of video feed in it.

How many extensions do you have enabled?

that sucks! I still think it's the best though.

What is that 512MB of memory?
Get at least 2x more.

Yup thats why the cpu is doing that, swappin to hd. :2 cents: Get more ram.

make sure that all of your extensions are up to date, i had that problem after upgrading to the new firefox.

updating extensions and the google toolbar fixed it for me.

Site's with a lot of Flash cause that to happen to me if I've had the browser open for several days without closing it.

Its also slowing down here. I've tried some tweaking and still it sucks.

i really only use firefox when i need the certain plugins, or am testing a site to see if it works in ie and ff

what are you guys doing with it? yea it leaks some memory, after opening 10 tabs at a time for hours... but a quick restart fixes it...

Depends what you have on it. If you have a lot of add ons, that might be the problem.

But yeah firefox is hugging a lot of ressources.

did you happen to load a .xml file in FF? Happens to me when I view them. other than that, no problems here.

When i restart i never get those hotties pictures come up. How do u do that? Is there a special plugin for that?

mine crashes quite a bit with video. almost 100% of the time if its buffering or playing and i try to stop it or close the window before it plays to the end. :(

might just be a linux thing...
