All the vets on this board please pardon me as I beat this dead horse.


The realization that I have lost(missed out on) about $150,000 over the last few years prompts me to say this.

History: A few years ago The Hun and other TGPs threaten to ban sponsors that used pop ups. Sponsors laughed and called them idiots. I had submitted 1000's of galleries for these sponsors and also asked them to stop the crazy popups. Well, the TGPs made good on their threats and deleted all my galleries. These TGPs were keeping archives of galleries that would still get sign ups years after they were originally submitted. So this is where I lost all this money and of course the sponsor lost the money too.
In particular one sponsor really loud mouthed the TGPs about their threat.
The sponsor was ARS. Well, if you thought "ARS?!? who the fuck is that?" then I need not comment anymore. ARS used to be one of, if not the biggest sponsor in the world!

Webmasters who didn't listen:

- Spammed with 10 submits a day which led to:
* partner accounts
* paid listings
* closed submit forms
* Hosted galleries only TGPs

- Never read the rules:
* Created a back log of shit galleries to review so it takes a month to get listed since the TGP has to pain-stakenly check each gallery to see if it is a
piece of shit.

- Traffic Cheats using "img src", "0 sized frames", hit bots...etc led to:
* closed traffic forms
* limited trade partners
* TGPs selling traffic instead of giving it for free


END RESULT:

Newbies have almost no chance of making a decent living in this game and
vets saw their income drop thru the floor.


So I'm waiting for the next time the TGPs start to bitch and I want to see which stupid fucks ignore them. Go ahead, you'll be sorry!

Spam email is better traffic than TGP. Ask yourself this who would you rather have a spammer doing 200 plus sales per day or some tgp sending you 50 and burning serious bandwidth.

Well, here we go again. At some point there will be price to pay for spamming and it will exceed the amount that you made. Of course if you get out before it happens then you're ok.....but your "OUT" at that point and I'm still "IN".

I have an old TGP that I no longer have online, but I still have the submit active.

So it still gets a shitload of submissions daily from auto-submit programs.

Once in a while I check the DB to see what kind of stuff is being submitted, and it's 99% popup spyware ridden redirecting garbage.

(if you're wondering why the submit is active, I ain't telling)

TGP might still be running strong for big TGP owners. However, I wouldnt say it is running strong for submitters. It might be steady for some, but I know a lot of big submitters who have seen a steady decrease in their income over the past 3 - 4 years.

back in 1999 up to 2001, I made alot more, alot faster, easier & cheaper..

Now it costs more to earn & it is alot harder & ratios are shitty...

back in 99-01, I would make sales off little traffic, now today you have oversaturated sponsors like panchodog that have ratios of 1:15862


Pretty fucked up that before you could count on many sales if you got a hun listing, now you're lucky if you make a sale at all..

Good resume of why all my TGP's list only sponsor FHG since a year and a half, i'm sorry for the honest submiters but i was so tired of reviewing daily junk, i have better things where to expend my working time than dealing with cheaters.

The same could be said about tradding, the cheaters made most of us to close the trade signup forms that also closed the chances for noob webmasters to get quality trades with old and stable sites.

I rarely trade with new webmasters now, i know already most of the honest tgp owners from years of good relationships and i deal with them when i start new sites and need trades, the same apply for them, just an ICQ message from them about their new sites and they are added to mine without questions.

Cheaters start to fuck the surfers but end fucking the whole business, but it's the human nature and it will keep this way forever. New business chances will appear and some mother fuckers will burn them trying to make fast money and thinking they are the smarter guys in the biz. Anybody remember when dialers, "the current evil" had a click here install and to connect buttons? those were good times until the autodialers and exploits where introduced that ended burning the product. Maybe in the future we will talk about how hidden pre-checked cross sales fucked the credit card billing business. But don't worry, then somebody will invent a new business model and we will have some years before it's burned too by the same stupids, it's called evolution...or human egoism and stupidity.

Evolution for me was in 1995/96 when TGP owners were not in "press the lemon" mode. I moved out from the tgp idiocy after 8 galleries and a few signup. I noticed many other place can be worked out and do more money than giving all shit for free. There is other market in adult other than the TGP with ratio 1:8000.

You seem like one of the idiots who think adult run around TGP and TGP owners are gods. 99% of them are pure idiots in their mom basement without business sense. (remember, i said 99%) , there is 1% left.

Only a few TGP owners really know how to do REAL MONEY with this and convert traffic with decent ratio. As well, some programs affiliated with tgps figured out how to do real money with TGP like GTS. Dont need to mention who the good TGP Owners doing a lot of money are, everyone know them.

Same fucking trend with blogs. Only a few do real money, all others try to copy and fail.

A big part of the TGP evolution is about "pressing the lemon" , since most of TGP dont do money, they need to try all they can do do money. How to do more money if surfers dont signup ? sell partner account and get submitters pay some fees to. Dont know who tried it first, but its worked it seem and it was brillant.

Btw, you call evolution TGP with 2k hits a day selling partner accounts for 50$ a month? Dont tell me its because of cheaters and ppl not following rules , its to press the lemon because his traffic suck and cant convert. More easy to sell partner accounts.

One thing I like about the TGP market nowadays is that since it's not so easy for a newbie to break in this market, only a handfull of good submitters are taking care of the real profits. And I'm happy to be one of those.

I think the most important change during the past years is the amount of affiliate programs who are offering Free Hosted Galleries which are very
easy to import (without to much work) ;) into a tgp increased 1000%

With all the cheating which is going on and which is very time consuming
for an owner I can understand that it is easier to list some FHGS the
owner choses than listing the same content from well known programs
which is submitted from an unknown webmaster.

mail will be around forever, you know it, i know it. there is simply too much money to be made. its the people that are mailing with proxies and internal methods that will be gone. its just like tgp in that there is a segment of people who fucked it up for everyone else. i'm sure tgp would be way more profitable if people didn't feed them with chinese traffic and there weren't cheating submitters pissing off owners and owners constantly wanting more and more free stuff to try and please the surfers.
