Noobie looking for advice: New concept, or done to death
Hi,
This is my first post, so try to not flame me too much. ;) I've created a site and put a lot of effort into it. Maybe too much effort really. But it should do well in SE, but not good for much else, if I am reading these boards correctly. Has this concept been done to death or am I on something new? Site is nude-reviews.com Thanks in advance! -CP |

Its a nice site but adult blogs and review sites are not new concepts ;)

Thanks for the answer. I figured as much. Just haven't seen many of them before.
How do they usually convert? Thanks! |
Just search google for adult review sites or adult blogs. Never made one so dont know how they convert probably no different then most tgp sites

Looks good but not original at all... keep up the good work!

I like the layout looks nice, however people dont want to see girls like that, that want a bit of "slut" and a bit of "dirty" click my sig for some proper girls.

Back to the drawing board mate.
:2 cents: |
1. Add a forum to it so people can get involved.

Not a new concept, and I can see it suffering from the same marketing-bullshit-o-sphere as every other review site out there. Would you ever give a negative review to a sponsor? Doubtful. I think surfers are smart enough to grasp that too, since the view seems to be that everything on the internet is a lie or a scam.
I love the layout, and the domain, however. It may help to push reviews of sponsors more than individual girls. Tell people up front what the sponsor offers. Who knows, honesty might actually pay off. Or I could be totally wrong. |

I am going to wait until I have enough posts (maybe 50) and put up some additional features, such as a top 25 list, allow surfers to rate the girls as well, ahd then a page which reviews the sponsors and grades them based on the overall average marks of the girls that have been reviewed. I'm torn about allowing comments. It just seems like it's too much trouble and I will send hours a day moderating the spam and garbage out of them. Any opinions? Thank you everyone for their input. |

Comments might be a good idea if you're trying to build a community, or get repeat visitors who will come there to read/post the comments. They do leave you open to spam, however, but I'm sure you can get one of those random image scripts to make the user type in a verification number before posting. Personally, I don't see much use for comments on either of my sites, because they're not up for the purpose of building a community of users.

EDIT:: I can't even quote-post a link that's already been posted. Tsk. There's intelligent software for you. Back to topic: I'm on firefox, and the whole site is on the left. Maybe you should move it to the middle? *hint*hint* |

It could be quite a few boards out of buiseness if they laid an effort in following their TOS. |

My expectations are realistic I believe. I'm hoping to convert 1:100. On another note, I made it to the first page of Google for the term Femjoy within 24 hrs. Now it's nowhere to be seen. Needless to say, traffic dropped, but that's okay. Didn't seem right to make it into Google that high right away anyway. Would anyone recommend running ads from Adbrite, etc, on the site, or would that take away from the feel? TIA! |
