Stanley Cup Goes To Game 7

momentum is now with the Oilers but Game 7 is in Raleigh - think the home crowd will give Carolina the Cup.

Nice, wish I would have planned better, im right by Raleigh

This article about Stanely Cup fans quite made me chuckle.

nestle 06-17-2006 07:36 PM

If Carolina plays like they did today (peewee hockey) then Edmonton more than deserves the cup.

I want to see a spectacular fight-to-the-death kind of game 7.

Mutt 06-17-2006 07:39 PM

2 rather heartless games in a row where Carolina could have won the Stanley Cup - that is pretty troubling and surprising.

arial 06-17-2006 07:42 PM

Damn Carolina is getting killed 4-0 now

madawgz 06-17-2006 07:46 PM

yeah i just make another thread about it :)

hahahaha
I remember when I used to play junior... we didn't shave during the playoffs and tournaments.

Spunky 06-17-2006 08:59 PM

Should be a great game regardless

Don't know what games you've been watching. This Carolina team is far from the Carolina team I saw in Game 5 where they lost in overtime. That was amazing effort by both teams. Carolina in Game 6 was like newbies that just learned how to skate.

you think Carolina played well? outshot 2-1 - 34-16 - they are a first place team playing a team that barely qualified for the playoffs - Edmonton played great but this game was as much about Carolina's uninspired effort.

Go Oilers!!!

Moraxian 06-18-2006 07:12 PM

Edmonton played the most dominant 3 1/2 minutes I've ever seen in a Stanley Cup final game in the OT in game 5, getting 7 shots on goal in those 3 1/2 minutes while taking a penalty (and scoring short handed). Then they followed it up with a complete domination again of Carolina holding the 'Canes to 16 shots (7 in the the first 2 periods!).

If Edmonton can exert their will like they have done in the last 63 1/2 minutes of this series, they'll win easily tomorrow night. That Doug Weight will likely not play and that Glen Wesley is playing hurt doesn't help the 'Canes any...
