Pneumonia...almost died.
Sorry if I missed or didn't answer any emails, AIMs, phone calls the past week as I was laid up in the hospital with pneumonia.
I've never, ever been hospitalized before and this was a new experience. Any of you who have to deal with chronic health problems, health insurance, etc., more power to you. Luckily for me my situation was dangerous but will be remedied easily with the new stem cell therapies. All the doctors and nurses agreed and I found out the doctor who owns the hospital is one of the foremost in trying to get stem cell therapies into the U.S. It's a shame so many people have to suffer because of some social policy about new technologies that are harmless. Any of you have any health related stories? Maybe by discussing them we can pitch in to help. I for one am compiling a massive database of the latest treatment centers domestic and foreign doing stem cell treatments including costs and legitimacy. |
ouch dude... sorry to hear. Pneumonia is a killer at any age, and it seems like it's just getting worse because of humans not treating their fucking diseases properly, so when they finally develop pneumonia due to complications it's getting all the worse. Oh and it's George Bush's fault.

Damn..that fucking sucks man..that shit is deadly
|
I am so sorry to hear that you are sick. I was sick a little over a year ago. I had to have a mass removed and it was stage one cancer. That word scares the hell out of me.

Wow many sorry to hear about that. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
I just got out of the hospital last week myself (my first time ever being sick). Hospitals are a bitch! But modern medicine is amazing..... |
Thanks gang,
Sorry to hear some of you were ill too. I have a battle up ahead which is just follow diet and medication for a while and make enough dough to do the stem cell therapies. So off I go to do a paysite and affiliate program. It's a good fucking thing I have a sit-down job or I would have been fucked. Also, doing the paperwork on insurance. That area alone is a nightmare and I feel for anyone with a pre-existing conditions thingie. I am not gonna have a life long illness thing. fuck all that. I'm on it now and will have half the battle won in a few weeks and then on to the 2nd phase. Thing that saved me was I exercised and don't drink or do drugs. |
damn that suck, hope you get well soon.
|
Damn that sucks hope you beat it and get completely well soon
|
happy you are alright.
my last story was concerning my daughter 5 years. I didn't know what to do even asked for help here on forum. She felt pain when peeing. I didn't call the doctor i treated her myself. I think she is alright now. I am always afraid to go to clinic. |
wow I'm Really Sorry to Hear that... :(

I should be way up to normal just by diet, exercise, medication. I like to pump iron so that should help big time. I feel for the people who get sick and don't have insurance or care. That bites ass. I chatted with the doctors about it. Me, I'm spending some extra time donating more time and money to the hospitals. Didn't know they were so overworked and under staffed. |
hope you will get better soon

Wishing you the best on your recovery... I can semi feel your pain.
About a year ago, I had pneumonia. At first, I thought it was just the simple flu but one night I started having trouble breathing. I remember actually dropping to my knees thinking this is the end. I called an ambulance and was brought to the hospital. I don't remember exactly, but I know it took me over 5 months to get back to normal. I never want to experience that again. So truly, best of luck to you with your recovery. - PornAddict |
that's not nice
|
Glad your better. Maybe look into getting the preventitive shot for it? My doctor recommends me every five years to update it.

I was stupid enough to still be running around doing laundry and finishing up cartoon projects and shit. I was not going into the hospital without the laundry done and the floors cleaned. Then I just walked out the door and into the hospital. No fucking joke for sure. I'm just one of those old hard headed mo-fo's from back in the day that won't go to a doctor til shit is alllllll fucked up beyond recognition. 40+ years without hospitalization ain't bad as health goes. These doctors have to get Trekkie with it and make up some cures so we can enjoy our vices like ice cream and cigarettes etc. Life ain't no fun if you can't have a vice or two. |
glad you lived yo...

One thing that will bring on pneumonia, is lack of sleep.
Webmasters, pay attention. In april of 2004, after a good almost year of sleeping 3-4 hours a night, then "catching up" on sundays with 7-8 hours, I developed pnuemonia and plueresy. The doc about fainted when I told him about my lifestyle, and he said in no uncertain terms: Your business is not worth it. Sleep or die young. Having pnuemonia was one of the most shitty things ever. Combined with Pluresy, I was winded from walking to my mailbox. Literally. Just getting into my car and driving somewhere seemed like running a marathon to me. I made it through though. I tried really hard to avoid "bedrest" but I hardly had the energy to check my email most of the time. I definitely try to sleep at least 6 hours a night, and trimmed a little from my social life and webmastering. It's working out well. |
Not to be too nosy, since I don't know you, but may I ask what the stem cell therapy is treating? Also, what country is the treatment in?
I've had pneumonia before, caught on my way back from asia... The sickest I've ever been. Was a few years back, when SARS was the big scare.. Doc's looked at me pretty funny when I came back from there with pneumonia. (SARS is viral pneumonia) Sorry to hear you are ill, get well soon. -T |

Sleep is most important. I rarely got any while in the hospital with all the bells and people and machines goin' on. That 'Type A' personality will do your ass in for sure. I was 'Type A' for a lonnnnnng time and often slip back into it. Rest and nutrition...two wings that'll make you fly right. |

You should not treat her yourself. She could have a serious problem. It is not normal to have pain when you pee when you are 5. You should make a doctor's appointment and bring her in asap. |

I guess if you live in a 3rd world country that excuses it. Quote:
