Not knowing anything about HTML I started out making web pages with Front Page 98 and upgraded to Front Page 2000 when it came out. I have continued using Front Page. I know that Front Page is heavily critisized, and Dream Weaver is considered by many to be the best.
I have a question for you users of Dream Weaver. If I switched to Dream Weaver and imported my web pages that were created using Front Page will Dream Weaver automatically change the HTML into its own HTML format without causing me any extra work? I would not want to have to make manual corrections on thousands of pages just to make the switch. |

Whats with all the new two letter origrams ?? Did they forget how to count??
Windows xp Dreamweaver mx Flash mx Anybody knows what MX and XP stant for ?? |
XP = Xtra Problems
MX = ? |
i'm using the trial,nothing new impressive. When it comes to script parts i don't rely on dreamweaver, so their adds-on are not in my interest. A good thing is that you can have the site manager and the editor at the same time in your screen and work. Since the majority of webmasters work on high resolutions it doesn't disturb you. In general, if someone works with the older version, I suggest him not to spend $ to get the new one.

I would want it to rewrite the code to its on HTML format, but only if it did not cause me problems (like having to make manual corrections). What I really need to know has someone imported web pages that were made with Front Page into Dream Weaver and if so was it problem free? |
If I'm not mistaken, Dreamweaver has a "clean up Frontpage HTML" option.
I haven't used FrontPage in a long time so I don't know if it works or not though. |
I use Dreamweaver 4 right now. I downlaoded the trial for mx and man are things easier. I think it will cut my developing time in half. Those of you who really used dreamweaver 4 know what I'm talking about. Macromedia never stops to suprise me.

Dreamweaver 4 is great.
I use it for most of my sites. As for using notepad; dreamweaver has a great built-in notepad. |

I use dreamweaver 4 now and like it a lot. No need to upgrade =D. I use CuteHTML when making quick edits.
