GND/MILF looking for a new home (business thread)

Hey everyone,

I have had my website up for a little less than a year. We have been doing pretty well converting the traffic we get, but have had trouble getting affiliates and the volume of traffic we would like to see. We don't have all of the resources, both financially and experience wise, to really do what need to be done to promote the site. We had been discussing becoming part of a larger affiliate program, but that seems to have died off due to the amount of expansion that they are working on. I was wondering if any other larger program owners out there are interested in discussing adding a GND/MILF site to their portfolio. If so hit me up.

Thanks,
Jen

spasmo 06-16-2006 11:09 AM

I was hoping to catch you on your live cam posting to GFY. :winkwink:

Seriously though, nice site. I can't help with the partnership thing, but you'll have a new affiliate in a few minutes. :thumbsup

Good luck!

You've got another affiliate! I'll be pushing some traffic shortly.

*edit*
CCBill seems to be having issues. AGAIN.

JenUncut 06-16-2006 11:42 AM

Mark, I'll try and hit you up later this evening... I got kids due home from school at the moment. Spasmo & Fetishblog thanks for signing up... If you need anything let me know!

Hugs,
Jen

Jen, I sent M an email. Let me know if you guys didn't get it. Thanks!

LadyMischief 06-16-2006 02:37 PM

Promote yourself.. get noticed and get out there, you can build up affiliates no problem. Look at Allie and many other girls who run and help promote their own sites. It was learning curve for them. Hit them up maybe they have advice or want to trade some traffic, too.

A-Bomb -Got It hun, email on its way to ya:))

LadyMischief- I realize that, lots of girls do do just that. It is a ton of work and yes, I have told myself numerous times that, I can build it on my own. But, with trying to keep up with everything and still keeping the quality and the volume of updates that I feel my site should provide and, trying to get my foot in the door in the behind the scenes biz, is a ton of work. I would rather focus my energy on making my site the best that I can.

maxjohan-Okyou, How much time you spending surfing around my site? LMAO jk of course. Thats what I mean, thats the kind of content I need to focus on. Its def much more fun than building TGPS, hehehehe.

Hugs,
Jen

LMAO - WTF is up with GFY. The damn thing kept timing out oh well bumpity bump for me I guess. Must be Miller time.

stickyfingerz 06-16-2006 03:35 PM

Jen you already have the hard part done. Keep it going. Partners will only make the money pot smaller. If you need extra work done just hit me up. Ill work for real cheap, or free , for you just to help you out. Need video work graphic stuff whatever. Feel free to ask. I do that for a couple of the girls that run their own programs. Im serious about it, feel free to icq me.

Sly 06-16-2006 03:37 PM

Hot damn you are incredibly sexy. IMO, signing under a different affiliate program would be a mistake. Looking through your site, you have a lot of different niche stuff. Thats great, you need to work it more.

Example: make a bunch of cum shot hosted galleries. Then start contacting cum related TGPs, link lists, forums, anything related to cum. If you supply a decent amount of galleries, they'll be happy to put them up. Do the same with feet, handjobs, anal, dildo, pantyhose, you get the idea.

The product you're selling is YOU. The best part of YOU is you are incredibly versatile. You can hit dozens of niches without spreading yourself too thin like a typical paysite would.

There are a lot of housewife, MILF, and amateur sites out there. Start out by contacting them and doing whatever it takes to get your links up.

JenUncut 06-16-2006 05:05 PM

stickyfingerzdotnet - What a sweety! That is a very generous offer but I could never let you do work for free, that's just not me. If I can't find the right kind of deal from a big program, we might have to see if there is some way we could work out something that benefits us both.

Sly - Man you guys are making my night!!! Those are some great ideas. And some extremely nice comments. A huge hug for ya! The problem comes back to time management and making the right contacts in this biz.

Off to the patio to have a few Friday night drinks (actually LaBatts time not Miller hehehe)

Huge Hugs to you guys,
Jen

I agree with Sticky on this one. I've been promoting JenUncut for a small bit but I think her site and her attitiude rocks.

I too will donate what I can do for cheap or free to make it work for ya. Why spilt the profits? It's amateur cbill sites like this that send my weekly major paychecks.... IMHO... :2 cents:

I agree with sticky 100% on this one. I noticed that you never really sent out alot of emails of new galls like other programs. If you do that on a regular basis you will be suprised! Webmasters pull links from emails everyday to plug, they just need some reminding that your site exists.

You're a pretty hot milf that should be pulling in alot more sales for sure

I agree with this... Don't get yourself added to another program and it will cause you nothing but trouble. I won't give out any names but I've been dealing with someone that has gone thru this a couple times now and it's had more of a detrimental effect on her site than if she had stuck to it herself.

Much better to stay on your own with CCBill and market yourself... Or find someone who can help you do it or even hire someone if you can afford to. It doesn't have to be all that expensive as the person doesn't have to be doing it full time, a few hour a week with someone that knows what needs to be done can make a world of difference to you.

For example... Buy some sigs.. Some of these guys would gladly sell their sig for $50 a month and you don't even need huge posters... a handfull of $50 guys will get you more exposure in more threads than 1 big time poster. Even better if the deal covers all the boards they post on.

Just a quick tip, load your video screenshots in Photoshop and run the Filters -> Video -> De-interlace filter on them.

JenUncut 06-16-2006 07:35 PM

Thanks so much for all the kind words of encouragement! I guess I have underestimated the people of GFY, with all the goofy threads (sorry Juicy, i still love ya) and drama threads (I love Brooke and Melissa , as well as Mayor and Biggy), there are people here who really do care and want to help each other. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated and I see what you are saying. The issue for me is having the resources (time, money, and skills) to see it through. Enough with my rambling lol.

Bling Daddy - you are a total sweetheart! You stepped up in the begining when I launched my affiliate program and here you are again! That means a lot to me... as Mike would say "You Da Man!" hehehe. If you need anything from me EVER, let me know!

Zarathustra - (damn try typing that after a few LaBatts lol) I don't recognize the nick but it sounds like you are an affiliate. I have tried to not to overdo emails and be annoying to affiliates so maybe I have missed opportunities to push things. I appreciate the feedback and will try to work on that in the future. And thank you for the "pretty hot milf" (you makin me blush lol).

Tempest - Good idea about the sigs. I have to get over my natural tendency to not want to be too pushy and in peoples faces too much. I was thinking that some people (i.e. affiliate managers) were much better at doing that sort of thing than I. I really like to just have fun and bullshit with people and go with the flow. Unfortunately, I don't have the cash to hire my own people to do this for me, so I thought that getting with a program which provided this would solve some of the problems,

Mark - I am ICQ'ing you now

LadyMischief - Thanks so much! I appreciate you taking the time to look at the site, and will pass that on to the hubby ( he does the tech shit lol).

Thanks again guys!!

Hugs,
Jen

nestle 06-16-2006 08:01 PM

Jen, it reads like you and your lucky hubby are having problems balancing content production, updates, maintenance, and the whole works. I can imagine this would be a tough burden especially with a growing site.

I think stickyfingerzdotnet has got it on the dot. Instead of looking to adding your site to a larger affiliate program (which I agree will be more of a headache down the line for you), you should really considering hiring someone part-time to look after everything else and have them lift some of the burden off of your and your hubby's shoulder.

Consider your site as a small business that you and your husband started (aside from this being obvious, bear with me here). When this small business grows to the point where you and your husband can't manage it all anymore without stress, this is when you expand by hiring your very first employee. This will give you 100% total flexibility as to the direction of your site.

If some affiliate program does talk you into joining their portfolio, make sure they settle on YOUR terms and not the other way around. Any affiliate program would be lucky to have your site as part of their portfolio.

Good luck!

JenUncut 06-16-2006 11:01 PM

Thank you for the outside perspective nestle and thank you for the nice comments. Where have you guys been for the last 10 months lol. Really, I do appreciate it.

Hugs,
Jen

SlamDesigns 06-16-2006 11:41 PM

Like someone else said, if you need any help with making galleries, editing video, graphics, anything like that...hit me up! I'll work cheap just to help you out. I been a fan (and an affiliate) of your site for months.

ScReAmH2O 06-16-2006 11:42 PM

LOl good luck :thumbsup

Mutt 06-17-2006 12:42 AM

i'd say the same thing as most here have already - keep on truckin' on your own - the majority of sites i've seen that do partnerships with larger programs don't do great - no large program will give you more than a 40% cut - you know how much you are making now and there's a number in your head of how much you'd like to make - do the math and figure out how many sales per day/week/month the program would have to generate on your site to make your % equal what you hope. If they can't show you stats of a few sites doing those numbers then there's no point - also remember that whatever program you might join will have sites they own 100% of - they'd only have 60% of your site - which site(s) do you think will get more effort put into marketing - the ones where they get 100% or the one they get 60% of?

you hooked up with all the amateur and cam linklists and toplists? review sites? Usenet? P2P? forums?

nice site - good luck

NaughtyRob 06-17-2006 02:19 AM

Hit me up, I'll make you an offer you cant refuse.

JenUncut 06-17-2006 07:27 AM

Just getting some coffee in the system... (NEED CAFFIENE to function). Pondering all the valuable input you guys are providing :)

SlamDesigns - Thanks for the offer and for being a fan and affiliate. I appreciate the thought (and definitely any and all traffic hehehe).

Mutt - I always look forward to reading your posts on here (and elsewhere), because you seem to know more about the business and single girl sites in particular than almost anyone on here. I understand your point about their motivations, and will definitely keep that in perspective. I initially was pushing the lists, lately I've been pushing reviews. Each step helps to build traffic, but different traffic converts differently (duh lol). As conversion ratios shift around, I start to wonder if the tour is what it should be. These are the kind of issues that are big time consumers for me.

GetNaughty - I'll hit you upon ICQ later.

Hugs,
Jen

Libertine 06-17-2006 11:27 AM

Like everyone else said, keep going on your own. Not only do partners take money, they almost invariably cause trouble in the end.

Another idea: get a part-time sales rep who works for a percentage, of the people he brings in. Someone to whore the boards for you and get your name out there.

V_RocKs 06-17-2006 01:11 PM

Lots of trouble...

Provide multiple tours, and you'll have solved that problem.

i just want a sig spot in here. ill sign up and promte you abit though.

JenUncut 06-17-2006 04:43 PM

BlingDaddy - will do! Thanks again.

Punkworld - another good idea, I have been discussing this with the hubby this afternoon. We have had multiple tours, but when your traffic volume is not high enough, it is difficult to experiment and remove other variables like source and quality of traffic or ather variables. If any of you have some suggestions as to improvements of the main tour JenUncut.com, PLEASE let me know.

I'm a sig whore - Go for it hehehe. We all love mad views :) BTW how do I get into your raffle.

Hugs,
Jen

Big John 06-17-2006 04:54 PM

For the little it's worth you were the kind of site I'd have loved to push when I had a lot of MILF traffic. Sadly I've moved on since and its just a trickle now.

You've had some great advice in this thread and I'm with many others - stick with it and bollocks to affiliates. For a site like yours you'll probably find you can buy traffic that'll make your more net profit than would be left after paying affiliates who also create a LOT more work.

nestle 06-17-2006 05:03 PM

Since my site is still in development and have no site of my own to put in my sig yet, I decided to donate a text line of my sig to your sites. (if you permit me, of course) :)

It may do you no good but I'm hoping it will help you get at least one more affiliate with it. :winkwink:

JenUncut 06-17-2006 05:47 PM

Big John - Damn I wish you still had that MILF traffic. Where would you suggest that I might buy some good MILF traffic, if you don't mind. I appreciate all the affiliates I do have, it's just that I need to get the volume of traffic kicked up.

Nestle - Thank you so much! What a Sweetheart! But you should signup for my program and if someone does signup from your sig you would get something for it. The fact that you are doing it says a lot about the kind of person you are! Best of luck with your upcoming site.

Hugs,
Jen
