what do you do for a living?
I mean really, am I out of the loop or something? No one I know on the internet makes "woo hoo, 5,000 posts" threads.
Anyone care to explain?

I have been trying to get them to reset mine for months now, I actually am ashamed that I have wasted so much time posting on a forum

they won't reset it though, I guess that is reserved for people in "that" circle

seriously i would be ashamed , a huge post count in such a short time frame just makes you look like a lamer with no life , or people proud to be lamers with no life that just post on a forum all day

I've been online in one form or another for 14 years. In the online industry for 8. I agree it is dumb but less annoying (to me) than the 'would you hit it' threads.

for me this has replaced the water cooler since I now work for myself. Before working for me I worked in sales orgs so there was alot of ballbusting, kidding and discussion. I miss that, GFY filled the missing piece. I agree with you, in that I belong to a bunch of serious video and photo forums and no one celebrates postcounts . lol
