I Picked Up My New Boat Today (Pics)

Hehe well let me be honest, it's NEW to me. It's not brand new ;)

I picked it up from the Marina and had to bring it home so I had a great chance to explore the lake my new cottage is on. Also I am a newer boater so I got a chance to re-aquaint myself as a "seaman" LOL!

If any of your veteran boaters can give me any advice I would definetely appreciate it! :)

Here are the pics enjoy!

If you get drunk on the boat for any reason, do NOT piss over the board.
There's dozens of people found dead with their flies open in the lakes in finland after 24th of june (midsummers eve) party..

Each year in the news they just say how many drowned this year.

Makingcoin 06-16-2006 12:41 AM

you should have gotten a wakeboarding boat or 30 ft speedboat... but alas, you are married so your good times are over anyway.... :thumbsup

My advice: any passengers on the tube that gets pulled behind at very high speeds must wear a lifejacket.......................and sign a waiver

Manowar 06-16-2006 05:43 AM

looks great!

pussyluver 06-16-2006 06:00 AM

My advice: Take a safety course and get a license. Not required in all 50 states. Some states won't let you boat without one and will fine you if they catch ya.

Take the ASA (American Saliing Assc) class. Teaches you more than just about sailing. Does a good job of teaching you the rules of the road (water), saftey and ermergecy procedures. Get a VHF radio and learn how to use it.

Owner of the boat should always be sober while boating.

Learn where the hazards are where you boat.

Be armed at all times, there are pirates out there.

BigB 06-16-2006 08:05 AM

always open the engine hatch before starting..
dont just trust the blower....

take things slow.... for every action there is a reaction...
and boats dont have brakes...
