World Cup Longshot
 

Out of the first twenty teams I've seen play in the 2006 World Cup there have been only two surprise teams to me that I think may have a shot at the finals.:winkwink:

Can you guess who they are?

Mexico is not one of the two because I would not consider them a longshot.

I see there are some knowledgable fans here. Just to clarify I meant which two might have a chance to get to the finals not who will meet in the finals.

If I bet anything on this World Cup it will be on two or three of the underdogs because there always seems to be a surprise team or two that comes together at the right time.

Czech V Spain

You guys that picked Spain and Czech Republic must have seen something in these teams too.

Spain along with Mexico have been the two strongest offensive teams I've seen and as far as discipline and balance I would have to say that the Czechs are a solid matchup with England.

Sorry you mates down under but I have not seen you guys play yet. I am looking forward to seeing Australia. That would be a good third bet.

Czech Republic No
Spain looked very very strong along with Italy they've looked to be the strongest 2 teams so far.

I thought you were talking about real surprises, like South Korea 4 years ago..

Everyone knows both Spain and Czech Republic are strong teams that could go very far this WC!

Is Czech Republic a real surprise??? They have been strong for years and they was just as good in Portugal and I had them as a winner then.

I agree, Ecuador have looked very good, they remind me of Brazil the way they attack.

The other team that has impressed me is T&T - They are a very hard side to break down and are pretty decent on the counter attack
