I mean, suppose a story like we saw today were constructed for the benefit of the surfer, using (instead of names known only to GFY webmasters), names recognizable to the average American male. Think about it.

Not the point.

What I'm saying is... okay, all bullshit aside, this strap-on dildo thing from today, it got me thinking. I never see that kind of originality of thought applied to surfer marketing. I'm not sayin' the parties conspired and made it all up. But if they had, it would be pretty fucking genius, and the sort of thing that could generate a HELLUVA lot of sales if the same basic principle (drama between porn stars) were applied in a consumer-facing direction.

I don't see much innovative thinking there at all, when you consider the great Power of Porn over the culture.
