CCBill get in here....Bank of America?
how long has CCBill done biz with BofA? - and - is it true they have been known to drop accounts when they find out involved with adult? info appreciated - I have heard they are bad about this from more than one person/company - thanks
|
I heard the same things about BOA a few years ago, but when I saw that CCBIll is now using them I don't think you have anything to worry about out of them any more.
They obviously have to know what business CCBill is in. |
Ccbill is using them for what? A merchant account?
|
lets see a person in adult does 10k a year in transactions thats an easy drop. for BoA to drop CCBILL who is doing like $2.41 a year in transactions would be insane. :1orglaugh

OK CCbill has been with BOA for at LEAST 4 yrs probably longer
I have a BOA merchant account and the have no problem with adult material assuming you are honest on the merchant account app to begin with. I like BOA and they gave me a merchant account for less than 100 bucks...a FRACTION of what others wanted. BUT I have been a BOA business account holder for well over 10 years and my branch manager suggested I get a merchant account from BoA when he saw me depositing a CCBill check. I still use CCBill but am slowly phasing them out |

Interesting. What kind of setup do they have? Can you share some more info on that? |

Red Ezra, we have never had an issue with this and do not expect that to change. If you have heard of any specific person that has had any issues with either account from depositing a ccbill check, we would be interested in hearing about this.
|
CCBill has used BofA as long as I have known. That's who issues their checks. I have a business and personal account with BofA as well. They don't seem to have a problem with adult but I have a problem with all of their BS fees and shit.

BofA is a good bank
|
I've been with BOA for the entire time I've been in adult. Never had issues.

okay then |
CCBill does not have a merchant account though BofA. They have a bank account that they use to write checks off there. This isn't new, this happened when they moved off Bank One back when I worked there. I haven't worked there in 4 years...

Seems sort of stupid to have made a thread about this, since it was all hearsay... |

I remember when Bank of America dropped a sponsor without any warnings years ago. I had an account there and called them and the woman I spoke to confirmed they do not allow people in the adult industry to have accounts, and they also don't associate with the liquor industry.
CCBill does a lot of mainstream processing so it's probably just never gotten back to them. I've had other sponsors pay me from Bank of America accounts. From 5/15/03 (to those who will INSIST no sponsor was ever dropped due to being in the adult industry, as someone always does) "Important Notice To Our SilverCash Webmasters: Bank Of America closed our bank accounts (with next to no notice). They learned our business is with the adult industry and do not want to be affiliated. As a result, all checks drawn on our BANK OF AMERICA account will be RETURNED UNPAID. If you have a check from BANK OF AMERICA from Price Communications, Inc. for pay periods before 03/30/2003 OR if you have a check that has been returned from Bank Of America please fax a check copy to 909.683.6589 or return the check via mail immediately and we will reissue you a check on our WELLS FARGO account the same day. All payout checks drawn on the WELLS FARGO account for payout periods after 3/30/2003 are ok and you will have no problems. We apologize greatly for any inconvenience this may have caused. For questions and concerns please contact us below. Sincerely, Michael S. Price, CEO SILVERCASH " |

Heard that about BOA for a long time now. And remeber the Silver cash incident. BOA is huge and they SUCK!
What happens at BOA depends a lot on who you deal with. One branch may do what another would not. I have found that the rules change from branch to branch. |
BofA gives you differant treatment based on where your account was started. they use multiple unlinked computer systems so differant regions are treated differantly. Iv never had any problems depositing adult related checks. My banker has even asked me what i do and got an honest answer.
